Please give the option to upload pics at larger sizes than 612x612, for people who care more about photo quality than upload speed. Or at least make the version that gets saved to the Camera Roll be full quality/full size.

Personally Id like to see them first save images to your library first before any processing because many times I've had Instagram crash in between and lost the shot entirely. Having the ability to go back to an unprocessed image and try again would be great

I never use it to take pics. I use hipsta or my camera phone and then import into IG>

Yeah that sounds so efficient ROFL, hey Instragram don't bother improving your UI we'll just use other apps to fill in the gaps for you.

The new version of Hipstamatic has a very efficient system: it uses iOS 4 multitasking functionalities. The photo manipulation runs in background after a shot, when the manipulation task terminates the photo is saved in the Camera Roll.

Well, it should be very amazing to use a similar approch in Instagram. After a shot, the low-resolution photo will be uploaded and a background task elaborates the full-resolution photo for Camera Roll.

Is it possible that?

So, 1.7 is out. Any update on when higher quality/resolution is going to come? Or should I just keep using Picplz? My network is on Instagram, and I love it. I want to keep using it. But the quality (or lack thereof) is killing me.

Is the Instagram team still planning on implementing full resolution? Now we're on 1.8 and still no sign of full resolution... If at least they would give an update on the plan for this feature...

I am printing for sales for te first time and only NOW as I upload the order did I realize all my instagram's are only 612! I can't believe it.. What a waste of so many photos, if I'd have known I would've just kept using hipsta for the majority because I ALWAYS need the option of printing.
This seems like such a no-brainer, how dissappointing.

And yes, at least some clarification on whether they're working on it or not would help.

I'm with @Miki, the option to save at full native resolution for each device.

I gave up waiting for full-sized pics and just bought Camera+ which has more filters anyway, and saves full-size pics.
