Multiple blogs on Tumblr, pick and choose

Most people already use a blogging service for posting photos, whether it's Tumblr, Posterous or other. Many of these also have several blogs under a single account, such as myself.
Right now Instagram doesn't allow users to choose what blog to post at — it assumes the default blog as the single one — it would great if we could pick the correct Tumblr blog from a list.

I think it's pretty important that we can choose a separate Tumblr blog.

Just created a new Tumblr blog under my main account in order to publish my Instagram photos, manually uploaded all my past Instagram photos and now I realized that i can't post there via instagram - it will always post in my main tumblr blog and not on the one I created specially for that. What a frustration

I would really like to know if this feature is something likely to be available soon or if I must create a tumblr blog with a different account and upload all of my past instagram photos again.

This is definitely an important missing feature and something that's making me use this app a lot less than I would have, because I want to do the same thing as everyone above, have a seperate sub-blog just for mobile photos.

Unfortunately the first Tumblr blog you create cannot be private, so I had to make a second tumblr blog (that's actually the only way to do it). I was hoping to use Instagram with a private tumblr blog.

This was my intended use, you cannot post any instagram photos to a private tumblr blog as tumblr will not let your primary blog be private.

Regram will let you repost photos to a Tumblr blog on an individual basis by commenting "@regram". More details here. It's not an ideal solution if you want every photo reposted, but it does let you use any of your Tumblr blogs (including private ones).

Any updates on this? I really wanted to start a photo blog for my Instagram shots, but was disappointed when I realized I can only post to my main Tumblr blog.

A response from someone would be nice. Frustrating to go through the work of setting up a 2nd Tumblr blog to find out it won't work with Instagram.

I agree with previous commenters this is a very important feature. I have been looking for a workaround, and I think I have one, using Posterous as an in-between. So here it is.

I share from Instagram to a Posterous site I have created especially for this purpose. I then set up this Posterous site to autopost to my Tumblr blog, which is not my primary Tumblr blog. Posterous allows you to specify the Tumblr URL your post should go to.

Hope this will work for some of you as well.

The Tumblr app itself has this functionality, so it shouldn't be too hard for instagr.am to make it happen. Come on, team!
