A book's web display wastes screen space, better full screen mode needed

A book's web display wastes screen space. Consider that small laptop screens are used most frequently. There ought to be a full screen mode that allows to make invisible space grabbing menu bars - both from the user's browser and the ICDL's frame - while retaining the ability to flip through pages and to zoom in. A reader wants to see a page as large as possible without having to scroll.

  • Actually, there is! Did you notice the "full screen" button? It is the left-most button of the 6 round greenish buttons on the top right of the window when reading an actual book page (see picture). It significantly shrinks the top navbar, leaving almost all of the window space available from the book page.

Also, note that most web browsers allow some sort of full screen mode for the browser so that your content fills the screen. The mechanism for this varies by browser and operating system, but look at your browser menu options for "full screen".
