iPA76A power questions

I've ordered a iPA76a Block Rocker, and have a couple questions about its power supply.

1) How many watts does it draw off 120VAC when its recharging the internal battery *and* playing moderately loud ? I guess I'm wondering if I'll be able to power it off a 400W inverter (300W sustained reasonably).

2) I'd like to put a jack across the internal battery, so I can plug a solar charger panel in when I'm off grid. Will the circuitry tolerate 14.4VDC ? (that is the max voltage of the solar charger, which has a regulator/charge controller)

3) I also might want to disconnect the 12V 7AH internal battery, and run the Block Rocker off a larger external AGM battery using this same solar jack (which will be a 30A PowerPole connector FWIW), for instance, I have a 12V 20AH here. Will the Block Rocker's internal charger be OK with this larger battery, eg, is the charge circuitry current limited so it won't cook itself on a bigger drain ?

(and yes, I realize modding it by adding this jack will void the warrany)

  • how exactly was any of that a request for parts ?? I was asking about power consumption.

well, I've measured it now, and if I'm reading this correctly, its only drawing 20 watts off the 120VAC when its both charging the battery and cranked up fairly loud. turned down, its more like 13 watts. Thats much lower than I expected, so my solar idea is sounding better and better.
