Unable to link my Cornerstones

I am unable to link two ion cornerstone speakers. I bought one cornerstone and it worked great (easy pairing, great sound), so we bought a second and we're looking forward to "linking" them together. Got the second and followed the directions (disconnected first speaker before starting the linking steps). No luck! I tried several times and nothing. Please help.

  • Hi Jeff,

Thanks for posting. Please go through the steps below to pair both of your speakers together. Make sure your speakers are not already connected via Bluetooth in Single mode. If either of them is connected, hold the Bluetooth Connect button to disconnect before proceeding.

    1. Power on each Cornerstone by holding down their Power buttons. You will hear "Power On" for confirmation.
    2. Press the Link button on each Cornerstone. The speakers will search for each other while playing an intermittent tone. Once the stereo pair is successfully linked, you will hear "Pairing successful, connected" followed by "Left channel" and "Right channel" on the respective speakers. Note, this process may take up to 2 minutes the first time two speakers are linked. Speakers that were previously linked will relink automatically in a few seconds if powered on in range of one another. The speakers should be within 30 feet of each other in order to link properly.
    3. On the Left speaker, the Bluetooth LED will blink. Press the Bluetooth Connect button briefly to enter Bluetooth Pairing mode. The Left speaker will be the "master" speaker, and the unit from which the Bluetooth range will be determined.
    4. Navigate to your device's Bluetooth setup screen, find Cornerstone, and connect. You will hear "Connected" for confirmation, however, these prompts can be disabled by simultaneously pressing the Bluetooth Connect and Link buttons briefly. If you experience trouble in connecting, select "Forget this Device" for Cornerstone on your Bluetooth device and try to connect again.
    5. To disconnect linking, hold the Link button on the "master" Cornerstone for two seconds. You will hear "Disconnected" for confirmation.

When two speakers are linked, hold the power button on the "master" speaker to turn both speakers off. If you want to only turn off the "slave" speaker, press and hold the power button on that speaker. The speakers will relink automatically the next time they are both powered on.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

I believe I'm having the same problem. Cornerstones paired in stereo the first time used and were fantastic. I cannot get them to connect together since. I have tried holding the pair button on both for over 2 mins. Any help would be appreciated.
