Video 2 PC MKII Not Working

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I have tried everything I can to try to get my video 2 pc to work, I updated drivers, uninstalled and re-installed drivers, tried every usb 2.0 port on my computer as well, as well as repeating the whole process on my laptop running Windows 7 professional 32 bit.

On both computers I run into the same problem.
-Cyberlink Power Director recognizes my Video 2 PC.
-When I click on the tab to capture from my device the video output is just black
or sometimes grey and about every 3-5 seconds I hear a squeak and that is
all.
-I am trying to convert from my VCR player and i have verified that the VCR
player works by watching a video through it on a TV.

Any help would be greatly appreciated because as of now I believe that my Video 2 PC is dead.

Hi Jordan. Is this a new issue? Can you see the unit in the device manager of your computer? Does it have a "!" next to it?

I have been having the same problem.

Video to pc has stopped working on windows 7 64 bit, and it also does not work on windows 8 64 bit like it promises on the website. http://www.ionaudio.com/products/deta... (I am now running windows 8 64bit)

The other day I went in to buy another video converter, and as soon as I saw that it was "ION" I threw that rubbish back down!

Can we please get a driver that works. People around the world have bought your product in good faith, as I have too.

Once I connect my Ion Video 2 PC mkii to my computer, it shows an unknown device in my usb section. It does not appear in the sound and video section.
I have tried changing usb ports, updating drivers, uninstalling drivers, cleaning out registry. I have spent days on trying to get this to work.

Additional info: I bought Video 2 Go, Win 7 64Bit, PowerDirector does not start, just spin. Only converter Monitor (downloaded from site) works. But is shown as USB2861,. In device Manager can see Video2go but not selectable in MovieMaker or ConverterMonior.
