I have spent a lot of last night and today looking to see if I could do things in the current form of IQTELL that I currently can do in Evernote.
Is there anyone who is an experienced Evernote user?
My main input to Evernote is either using Evernote Android App or clipping and Organising from the Windows Evernote application.
Here is the core things IQTEL won't do to my Knowledge.
1. Web clipping service, addin available for all browsers for Evernote.
2. Able to record voice and have it transcribed with Audio attached, even emailing the audio and transcription to the email account firstname.lastname@example.org does not bring up the attachment.
More info here
Screen Shot below of a typical note I record that is transcribed by Evernote and Dial2Do Perhaps you could do a similar deal with Dial2Do
3. Take Photos from my phone and have them Automatically uploaded to Evernote that sync with Evernote (I guess after thinking is I can take the photo and share via email, just an extra 2 steps)
4. Tagging (not sure about this though) I am working out if Tagging is absolutely necessary, I have way too many tags to be of use at times.
Perhaps the Android App will take some of these into account.
I am spending more time in Evernote still with no clear way of me interacting with IQTELL and my Evernote collection.
As Evernote has such a wide appeal and covers all platforms that are of any significance I would suggest as they have a good API that like attaching and email account to IQTELL Evernote should appear in the workspace. Once that occurs then like Gmail any changes made from IQTELL would be reflected in Evernote. Just like you are not making an email client but leveraging Gmail you should be able to do the same with Evernote.
Email inbox is a collection point so Evernote would be another collection point and fit into the same workflow.
There is a huge base of Evernote users that would be very excited about the ability to use IQTELL with Evernote and make Tasks as Evernote clearly are sticking to minimum features and developing their API.
I am happy to talk to anyone about this and how Evernote in IQTELL could work. I am open to ideas the above is only a suggestion and my early frustration, perhaps over time some of these things will be perceived problems that can be solved.

EMPLOYEE0Evernote integration is one of the very next things on our plate.
We are having some internal discussions this week and next, and I will be sure to forward you our thoughts on IQTELL/Evernote prior to implementation for feedback.
If anyone else is an Evernote user, we'd be happy to share some ideas with you.
EMPLOYEE0Ian - on another note, if you forward an Evernote note to your gmail and the attachment (audio clip) is visible in gmail, then you should be able to see that attachment in IQTELL as well. Can you please forward me to my email some more details, possible screen shots. thanks, Sahaf
Yes, I brought similar issues up with Chris Perkins during and immediately after our chat on the phone when I got set up with the IQTELL beta program. I'll post my thoughts here to have a public record of them:
For me, I will need to be able to replace or integrate several services into IQTELL before it will be beneficial for me as my main productivity app. I can't add another app to my already long list. I'm excited about the potential that IQTELL has to simplify and consolidate all this digital stuff. I also use Evernote, and IQTELL will have to do notes as powerfully and elegantly as Evernote to be really useful for me. I need my files to be OCR'ed so I can search for text in my files. I need to be able to take a photograph with my Android device and send it to my files where it will be OCR'ed. Web clipping is very nice as well. Another thing that Evernote does that IQTELL should be able to do is sync with offline folders. I can scan a document to a folder on my local machine and Evernote will automatically sync it to the cloud in my Evernote account.
I had also suggested to Chris Perkins the possibility of a desktop version of IQTELL. The desktop app of Evernote is nice, fast, and you can use it to manage your files offline if necessary. I know IQTELL's main strength is as a web app, but I think having the option for a desktop app would be nice.
coopecreek I am fairly certain that they understand about Evernote. They will just be able to access all your Evernote info via the API Evernote provide. We just have to wait but as you said Evernote integrated would improve my productivity immediately and I would find it hard to get good value out of iqtell without it. Evernote is just as important as my email to me. From my limited use of iqtell and discussions with them I am very confident their structure allows for lots of customisation. Also Evernote are very keen to to get developers using their API. Did you watch the Videos at the trunk conference? There was one GTD system for Evernote but very rigid GTD process that I did not like Zendone but if you are a GTD purist then I would be ok.
