Changed reply in topic of Is iRule still being developed? by cwca02 . to Thanks for the info on the GC-100. I'll look at that more closely. I think simple control could be a promising replacement if they do a couple things. Simply allowing control over placement of UI elements and feedback. I like that they have a server option if wanted and that there's a beta that sounds promising right now. I think I'll try to get more info on that.

Thanks all!.

Changed reply in topic of Is iRule still being developed? by delamr to SimpleControl worked ok to control with my GC100 although the feedback didn't... I have an Itach IPSL which works fine as an RS232 controller.
It's the lack of any custom feedback with SimpleControl that frustrates me. I have a Rasperry Pi I could use that could send any format they want for the Volume (for example) but there is no published /example format just things like ' use format400' . Support just said 'Custom feedback is not supported at this time' which is a little irritating....

Changed reply in topic of Content Type in POST for HTTP Gateway by James Knutson to Make sure you set up your device under network gateway not http! Then select tcp as the protocol. And then your commands that you send should be constructed like the the sample command above. For IP address of your device under gateway setup use http://serverip:8080/rest/items/ITEM .

Changed reply in topic of HDMI Matrix by John Wallace to Hi Mike,

It is a generic Chinese switch but if I put in the second line of the rs232 code into google the link below comes up and the instructions, rs232 code and pictures of the switch comes up.... in assuming the stellar labs one below is a rebranded version of the switch. I am using a gc-100 to connect it.

Strangely there is no mention of baud, bits and parity on the instruction booklet.

John.

Changed reply in topic of NEW USERS If you're thinking about buying iRule be aware there is no help here and no development by Franin to I agree with you charge a subscription like simple remote and get back to work. I'd love to see more features added. I could never understand how they survive by charging a one of fee..

Changed reply in topic of Numeric Feedback (and textual) for kodi by delamr to I've got iRule set up with a UDP gateway that isn't the IP address of the Pi (which is it's on the same subnet but has a final address of 255 . So the iRule gateway for the UDP server is at However the port number is the one that the UDP server broadcasts in( in my case port 9094)
I don't know enough about UDP to understand fully why that's the case- but that's the way it is! Is that what you have in your iRule set up for the device that is linked to the feedback?.

Changed description of Using Logic to update "feedback variable URL" by John Wallace to Hi, I've got some urls on my pages showing movie and music artwork based on what's playing on Kodi. When the feedback refreshes the artwork reloads/flickers. I was wondering if there was a way of setting a logic using maybe a second variable to update the first only when there is a change to the first Is this possible? John.

    Judy Mae Sese
Changed reply in topic of OK/Cursor Enter Codes for Cisco/ATT U-Verse ISB7005 box by Judy Mae Sese to Were you able to resolve this issue? I have the same problem with my U-verse box. It also happens with the forward and rewind buttons. If I press the forward button, it will work but if I press it again it won't go forward faster. For the forward button to go faster, I have to press a different button like the cursor left button and then press the forward button for it to go faster.

What I noticed is that when you press the enter button to watch DVR, you can't press it again to play the recorded show. You can't press the same button consecutively. For it to work, you have to press enter, then cursor up or down and then back to the enter button so the recorded show will play.

Is there a solution for this problem?

Thanks.

Changed reply in topic of unresponsive IR Sony IR commands by John Risk to LOL I got that right from the beggining! I usually start off with the power button, if it works, then I keep on, if not then I look for a solution before doing the whole set of codes..

Changed reply in topic of Amazon Echo support by James Knutson to Thanks. Be careful with that. The way he sets up the directv in the dmz is not advised. Best to use portforwarding on you router..

    Sebastian Kylestam
Changed reply in topic of Irule lost connection with itach after update to iOS 10 by Sebastian Kylestam to The Gatways are the same and still there, so they are not wiped out by the update.

The wifi symbol is red and nothing happens when I press any button.
The phone with iOS 9 still works fine so there is no problem with the network or itach.

It's quite odd that this happens when apple launches "Home"

//Seb.
