Calculate in place

Being able to assign a variable to parameters is extremely useful, but when the value you want to use is to be constructed from other variables and text, having to create another variable just for this, calculate its value and then use that variable for the parameter is a clumsy way to have to do it.

A better solution would be if wherever a variable can be assigned, instead an expression can be used. In this way the calculation is direct and does not require any intermediate variable to have to be used. This is far neater, requires less code and avoids any concern about where the calculation needs to be located to be sure it has been done when required. With it being direct, actually where it is to be used, there's never any question of it having been done when needed.

This would be a HUGE benefit for me and I suspect others. Has this been thought about at all. Any chance of seeing it?
