This is both a problem and a question:
I have a HTC one X and it seems your app is very glitchy with it. Here are a list of my problems:
1. Sound cuts out when I leave the app and return to it.
2. When I leave the app and return to it, the iRule app can't find the Global Cache gateway. It connects to my http devices just fine.
My wife has an iPhone 5 and there are no problems with the app.
Is there an Android phone that you can endorse that iRule works as well on as the iPhone 5?
The only way for me to reconnect to global cache is to disconnect my phone from the network, and then reconnect it. This is the only app that I have this type of problem with.

Hi jprosiak,
Sorry you're having trouble.
There are several reasons that play into your experience being different on Android than on iOS, from the iOS app being a little older and therefore a bit more stable, to the number and variety of Android devices (which makes testing a challenge), to actual inconstancies in how different Android devices handle certain system functions.
I'd also point out that as much as we wish it were the case, it's not as if the iOS version is without issues. I'm glad to hear you're having no problems with your wife's iPhone 5, but a quick glance will turn up threads from iOS users with bugs, too.
I wish I could tell you there was one perfect device, but you can run into issues on any device (including iOS).
All that said, I'll refer the engineers to your two issues, and we'll see what we can figure out. Would you be willing to give us a little additional information and perhaps even do a little testing?
Regards,

Can you email a backup of your setup to alex.boyd@iruleathome.com , I will try and recreate the issues you are having and hopefully come up with a fix.

Hey Alex, Thanks for the reply. I have been on vacation all week and haven't had time to send you a backup yet. However, I think I may have found a work around for the intermittent connectivity problem. I have an app called tasker and I created a task that disables my data connection when ever I launch iRule. This seems to prevent my connectivity issue. Is there any reason why this work arouns would resolve my problem?
