Periodic loss of gateway connection

My Android tablet gateway conection turns red on occassion. It will reconnect after a period of time or after I hit a button several times. Is there a way of preventing this?

  • This same thing happens to me and it's more often than I like. I have a Asus 7 " android sending wifi to a GC WiFi2IR gateway. When it happens, if I shut down iRule and re-launch it on the tablet, that sometimes works. Most of the time however, I have to unplug the power to the GC unit and plug it back in which usually fixes the issue. It's a bit of a pain however. I have a case on my tablet. I can close the magnetic cover and it goes to sleep similar to an iPad. When I open the cover the display comes back. Also the screen has to be tapped once to bring full brightness and the second tap will activate a button. I don't like seeing the low brightness display while in a dark room and watching recorded TV shows or a movie.

  • I am using a Hisense Sero 7 Pro Android tablet and a GC Flex IP that is connected to an Edimax CV-7428nS wireless access point. The tablet remains connected to the wifi network when I loose the Gateway connection. My problem is less of a pain than what you are experiencing. It will correct itself if I wait long enough or if
I hit a button several times.
