'Totally confused on what to do.

I have a GC100-12 with emmiters and everything works great with iRule when connected to my home network. I want to control somethings from the internet or outside network through my iphone. Where to start? Cannot find any articals or help on this.

if all you've got is the one gc100, you can set your router to forward the applicable port(s) (4998 for ir) to the gc100's internal ip, and configure the gateway in irule to use your external ip. that way, you're essentially accessing your setup from the internet, whether you're on your home network or not. the upsides are that its easy and doesn't require anything special or specific harware-wise. the downsides are that it's not secure, it's not efficient, and it's not scalable (will only work for a single gc100, since they all use the same ports and you can only forward a given port to a single ip address).

the other option is to set up a vpn endpoint on your network, and tunnel in whenever you're not at home but want to control things. this is what myself and i think at least several others are doing. it's a much more robust, secure, "proper" way of configuring remote access, but it also requires a lot more know-how to get it setup and working properly, in addition to either dedicated vpn endpoint hardware or a router that can act as an endpoint (which usually means running 3rd party firmware like dd-wrt).

hopefully that can get you started. if you're not familiar with any of the things mentioned, google is your friend.
