  • Not a Problem
Hi, I recently just recieved a new PC with Windows 7 in it.

I tried downloading XPadder from the link that JamLegend offers, but that version of XPadder doesn't work for it. It only works for Microsoft: 2000,XP, and Vista.

Can you guys get a link that offers a free download of XPadder for Windows 7, please?

I've asked the JamLegend team to add a link. (I'm marking this topic as "not a problem" since it's not a technical issue.) In the mean time, please do a search on your favorite search engine for a place to download the version for Windows 7.

The only other software I know of is Joytokey but that didn't get the d-pad working on my guitar, which would mean I can't strum.

Ok thank you Maiko. And yeah, I already ran a search on Bing and Google. Some come up, but they aren't what they say they are.

Found the answer.
Right click Xpadder and click \"Troubleshoot Compatibility.\" I can't believe I didn't realize it earlier.

I had a similar problem and this is how I solved it: (I am sorry my windows is in portuguese so I don't know the exactly terms every time I am using "")

1. Right click the xpadder.exe;
2. go to "properties";
3. go to the tab "compatibility";
4. into the "compatibility mode" frame check the box to "run using compatibility mode";
5. leave the default "windows XP (Service Pack3)" selected;
6. press ok;

After that you should be able to open it directly from the xpadder.exe.

This worked for Windows 7 Home Premium, not sure if it works for other versions of Windows 7.
