Jolicloud supports two finger scrolling ATM but with new multi touch pads it would be nice to have the full range of support (ie pinch zooming etc).

Unfortunately on my HP mini 311, the touchpad is seen as an USB mouse by the system so no multitouch option is available, and worse ... the touchpad is not disables when I use the keyboard. This will result in weird behavior while typing :/

Asus Eee 1005P here, has a long list of multitouch features in windows but putting 2 fingers on the pad just makes the cursor bounce around randomly, especially annoying since I use 2 finger tap to middle click and 2 finger slide to scroll.

Wait for the last feature, to have a nice OS...multitouch.

I find some code on a website in france..perhaps it helps to do it.

THANKS Zak for all your helpful support.

a newbie....glad to test the 1.0 version!

To english speakers, this guy say that in her Asus T101MT the touchscreen doesnt work.

edson, are you an upgraded user, or are you using a fresh installation of Jolicloud 1.0?

I don't know how hard this would be, but this article says that ubuntu 10.10 will have multitouch support. Would it be feasible to port this over to jolicloud since you don't have to write it from scratch?

On my Asus T91MT I have experienced two-finger scrolling for about 5 seconds two times now and then it goes back to moving the mouse as if I'm only using one finger. I guess this might be some driver trying to do its work and then failing. Anybody else see this sort of behaviour?

I wondered why my multitouch wasnt working either, after doing a fresh install of Joli 1.1

I went through the apps screens and found 'Local Settings'.

Under the 'Mouse' setting I was able to enable multitouch from there - now working perfectly.

Hope this helps.

For me in mouse options there an option to enable two finger scrolling but it's greyed-out so I can't switch it on. No other multitouch options either. Jolicloud shloud support my Samsung n210 fully, but apparently not.

I have an Asus EEE PC 1018p with a true multi-touch trackpad and yet under jolicloud I can't enable multi-touch at all! The two finger scrolling box is greyed out and all the manual methods I have tried seem not to work on Jolicloud - please fix!

update: now have jolicloud 1.2 and still no joy :(

I have a HP Compaq presario CQ62 with no multitouch support either.
most of the other windows gestures I can do without, but two fingerscrolling support would be nice.
The driver for windows has multitouch and works just fine, but in Joli OS I can only edge scroll, which is a harder habit to learn when I'm used to two finger scrolling

i don't exactly if this project is stil open, but i guess it can be very interesting for user with multigestures mouses! take i look, i gues it's not so difficult install it from repo or from deb even in JC
