Sim pin

When using Slidescreen as my home screen, I have to manually enter the sim pin after each reboot; i.e. the phone does not ask me for it after rebooting, I have to go to settings, security, and disable the sim pin lock and reenable it to unlock the sim card. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S (I9000).

I'm not sure I totally understand - you have a password for you sim card normally? What does the stock home screen do - ask you when you reboot what the password is?

Thanks.

it's not a password, it's a four-letter-code, a pin number. this is very common in europe (I know for sure about germany, france and spain). the stock home screen asks me for the pin number right after rebooting. this "unlocks" the sim card until the phone is rebooted.

nope... while the stock home screen asks for the pin number right after rebooting, under slidescreen I have to manually enter the pin number. the only way to enter it manually is to change the sim card settings, so that it doesn't require a sim pin anymore. changing this setting unlocks the sim card. then after this, I change it back to "require sim pin", since this is a useful security feature.

SIM pin or Sim network unlock pin indicates that your Samsung i9000 Galaxy s asks for network unlock code . To get it , contact any of the providers like http://www.unlock-zone.com/samsung-i9... to unlock your Samsung Galaxy S .
