"Fake track" won't delete!

I tagged a track incorrectly, and to fix the problem I attempted to delete the whole artist, however, this does not remove the track! It is infuriating and it's sitting as one of my top tracks.
As you can see, it's claiming 156 scrobbles but when I visit the track page, they are nowhere to be seen! How can I remove the track?

I've used the /+delete URL to delete but it says do you want to delete 0 scrobbles, and the 156 scrobbles remain there.

This is caused by an artist correction, you should be able to delete it from these pages:

https://www.last.fm/user/PoisonBanquet/library/music/Major+Lazer+&+DJ+Snake/Peace+Is+the+Mission...
https://www.last.fm/user/PoisonBanquet/library/music/+noredirect/Major+Lazer+&+DJ+Snake/_/Lean+O...

As I understand it:

You  scrobbled this track as X (Major Lazer & DJ Snake), and it's been corrected it to Y (Major Lazer).
You now try to delete Y, and it's telling you that you have no scrobbles of Y (because you scrobbled them as X). >_>

If you look in your library, you might notice that you actually have two entries for Major Lazer:

On page 1 (rank 40, scrobbles 262)
On page 2 (rank 68, scrobbles 156) - this should actually be Major Lazer & DJ Snake, but it's 'corrected' the name to Major Lazer.

However if you click through both, they take you to the same page, because it's corrected the name and url.

In the short term, for other people seeing this issue, I'm afraid the only way to remove these now is to locate the track as you originally scrobbled it.

e.g. Looking at the albums page, you can see the Major Lazer & DJ Snake album here (at #72): https://www.last.fm/user/PoisonBanquet/library/albums?date_preset=ALL_TIME&page=2 .

In the medium term (~4 months), we're replacing the service that's causing these kind discrepancies in your library (e.g. albums and artists being listed twice, not being able to delete stuff / unlove tracks, etc), and is also blocking us from adding / removing new corrections.  This work has already been started, and once complete I'm expecting these issues to finally be resolved. Again, sorry for any inconvenience caused in the meantime, I know it's frustrating when you can't amend your library.

Hi Jon, just looking for an update. Below in this thread you had indicated that late June was the more likely finish date for the work that needed to be done. Obviously that hasn't happened, so I'm curious if you have a new estimate.

I'm having the same problem with this track: https://www.last.fm/user/mcp90/library/music/Loane/_/Comme+Si+Quelqu%27un
Please look into it

This is your only scrobble?  What happens when you try to delete it?  (or the artist / album)

Can you please try turning auto-corrections off in your website settings, and then try to delete it from this page?

Ok, so I think the problem is with the apostrophe in Quelqu'un

/music/Loane/_/Comme+Si+Quelqu%27un  <- what we're showing on the site
/music/Loane/_/Comme Si Quelqu'un <- what you actually scrobbled the track as

Even if I link to the correct spelling of the page, I think it will try to delete the wrong spelling still.

https://www.last.fm/user/mcp90/library/music/+noredirect/Loane/_/Comme%20Si%20Quelqu'un

Again please try turning autocorrections off, and see if you can remove the track from you recent tracks page:  https://www.last.fm/user/mcp90/library

Thanks for the reply Jon. I've tried deleting it from both links, turned autocorrect off and on, tried deleting artist & album but nothing worked. I dont know what else to do. :(

Also when I try to delete the track (both spellings), it shows 0 scrobbles:

I've raised with our developers, but there might not be a workaround until the work I mentioned above is completed. Sorry about that. :(

I'm having the same problem with this track: https://www.last.fm/user/darkhawkk/library/music/Elis+Regina/_/Mem%C3%B3rias+de+Marta+Sar%C3%A9

Nothing happens when I try to delete the track, album or artist.

I turned off the autocorrections but still nothing happens and I can't remove the track from my recent tracks page.

Can you help me, please?

This is what you scrobbled it as:

"artist": "Elis Regina"
"album": "Elis, Como E Porque"
"track": "Memorias De Marta Sare"

Can you delete it from this page?

Is there any update on the fix for this that was promised? I have several artists/scrobbles that I still can't get rid of.

Took  way longer  than expected, but we're in the last stages of development now.  After that, there's still the matter of decommissioning the old service and migrating traffic to the new one.  Current estimate I have so far is late June.

Up to this, as ClarenceD made right question - I already answered some questions about catalogue problems on Last.fm site and told it's planned for June (as written here and also somewhere else on GetSat), yet nothing changed, as far as I see.

I'm having an issue with a track not deleting as well: https://www.last.fm/user/SpyC138/library/music/Disclosure/_/Latch+(feat.+Sam+Smith)

and it is showing up twice on my artists for some reason? https://www.last.fm/user/SpyC138/library/artists?page=30 You'll see that Disclosure shows up twice. I would like to delete the artist all together so future scrobbles will be uniform, but to no avail.

Hi Jacob,

This will be fixed by the new scrobbles database which we've started gradually rolling out to users.  It's not available on your account just yet, but will be soon.

Closing, as it should now be possible to delete these tracks.
