I have Mac OS 10.11.6, I don't know why but since a few days the scrobbler stopped launching automatically with iTunes. Now I have to open it manually and then play songs in iTunes. Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem on macOS 10.12.6 (iTunes 12.6.2.20) - did you ever manage to fix it?

Yup, same problem here again. Seems like every time there is an iTunes update the scrobbler breaks. OS 10.12.6 and iTunes 12.6.2.20

Can we get some staff acknowledgement on this? I havent scrobbled in weeks because I always forget to manually launch the scrobbler.

Seems pretty important seeing as scrobbling is the main functionality of lastfm?

If you're going to fix the double scrobbling problem for Mac (that requires users to disable device scrobbling) - why not just fix this issue too?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Scrobbler doesn't launch with iTunes 12.6.2.

Wanted to make a new thread to make sure this gets seen, as it's a separate problem than the double scrobbling that's already reported.

Basically I have to launch the Scrobbler manually. Let's get a fix please.

Scrobbler 2.1.37
iTunes 12.6.2
macOS 10.12.4

Instead of merging one post and deleting my other post, why not just forward this issue to the team and mark this as acknowledged? LOL.  You literally looked at my post and did nothing. This topic has been unanswered by staff for 6 months.

The end of Last.fm is coming, sorry :( They f*cked it all! There's nothing that works properly now.

I've the latest version of the scrobbler for Mac, iTunes 12.7.2.58, OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, and I still have this issue where the scrobbler fails to launch when I open iTunes.

It would be great if this was fixed at some point!
