3rd Party App?

It's been over 6 months now, and the official mobile app is still broken. It was annoying for a while since I couldn't use it to mark tracks as loved, but lately it keeps skipping random tracks and they don't scrobble. Super annoying.

Since it doesn't look like they're going to fix it anytime soon, I'm looking for an alternate app if there's one that's reliable enough.

I looked on the Play Store and saw they have a few, but I don't know which one would work best. Anybody has any suggestions?

The official app still works best for me, better than Simple Last.fm Scrobbler. Both skip some tracks though. I haven't tried to love songs on mobile.

The official Last FM scrobbler is able to love songs. At least on iOs.

Use a music player with built-in scrobbling. I use Clementine and it works for me.

Clementine doesn't run on Android though.

Not yet... For mobile I mostly use Spotify that scrobbles fine (when it don't forget your Last.fm settings).

I do that with Ecoute on my iPhone, but most of the time scrobbles don't go through unfortunately.

Spotify only scrobbles fine with a fine internet connection. With a bad connection or offline it doesn't scrobble anything. Spotify doesn't cache played songs for a later transfer. That's a known lack of features since 2012 (!!!) on Spotify.

Been using the Simple Last.fm Scrobbler today (Android), and it works great for me.

Kind of a shame that an UNOFFICIAL app works better than the official one.
