So the profile page is completely raped now. No band/album picture near a recently played song. No top artist chart. No About Me. No journals. No events. If beta is unfinished WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY do you have to let it go live??????

You can only see the user's top FIVE artists. Horrible. I use this for recommendations and now it's so hard to see artist lists.

There's literally more ad space than there is substance on the user profiles.

"Get Satisfaction" lmao the only way any of us will be satisfied is if you trash this BS update and revert back to the normal Last.fm. Expect to see a large decrease in your member base.

And ALL my numbers are incorrect. ALL of them. I hate this new site. I really hope the old one will stay as a selectable option.

Ah, I wish it did, I've been on Last.fm for 9 years (and now might have to leave) :( But seeing as they completely ignored 95% of the users' criticism... They will just say "I'm sorry you feel this way" and keep the ugly useless broken beta.

Exactly. I'm a 10-year member in eleven days. And it just crushes me to think the best layout they had is now scrapped for this crap.

The confusing thing for me is that I've noticed that my scrobble count is slightly higher than it's supposed to be YET a lot of scrobbles seem to be missing. I don't know how that's happened.

I'm very disappointed that they rolled this out because it is a huge step back from the previous profile layout. I can't believe that this even got the green light, it is absolutely terrible. The thing is that they expect us to get used it and say that there's still a lot to be done. They did this with the artist pages, said that it would get a make-over and some finishing touches but nothing actually changed. I actually got used to the artist pages but I'll never get used to this. They've gotten rid of the only features that could be used to personalise people's accounts. If I could get a back-up of my library (please make this a feature!!!) and then just leave my account to dust over, I'd be fine but like I said, there are scrobbles missing. I hate websites that don't listen to their users /rant

I am in utter shock that they forced a site that doesn't even look halfway finished on us. What was the big rush to release this? Shouldn't it have been finished first? I have no about me section. I can't vote for artist pictures. I can't shout. I have no ability to customize my charts. Just a complete mess. This was in beta for awhile and you got A LOT of feedback that you apparently just ignored. You have stripped out the soul of the website and reduced it to bare bones.

What this reminds me of is that awful World of Warcraft expansion that came out last year... Then within six months they had lost HALF of their players because the staff didn't bother addressing the concerns their users had during the beta. I won't be surprised if we see a similar mass exodus from last.fm. People lose faith when you don't listen to anything they say.

Give us back the features that we love.

Well... Same here... Some features I miss are artist/album pictures next to scrobbles (but it's not a big problem); second - I miss my events I am gonna attend/already attended. I miss my blog entries... "Around the Web" at the right - what is that? I'd prefer to see there my events and blog entries (if they are still. here) instead of that. Are there any groups left? Are there old forums left? Can we add/edit our events?

Info and features temporarily missing will be forgiven and forgotten once they're back.
Using more space to show fewer things is forever.
There was no need nor reason to rebuild from the ground up.

At this moment I'm not able to see any of my friends, whether in 'Following' or 'Follower'.
Just blank, as well as my avatar box.

Well, I hope this happens because they launched BETA... But TBH, they had plenty of time trying how everything works and getting lots of feedbacks. But... Maybe everything worked fine while they had OLD version of website. Now our loved functions are gone. Forever? Then I'll have to say goodbye to last.fm I'm using almost 10 years.

When it comes to internet communities this is by far the worst piece of shit I have witnessed in my entire life. Nothing else comes even close. And this is 2015, not 1996. The staff behind this ugly, dysfunctional, technological miscarriage should be ashamed of themselves. I at least thought that they would launch this abortion when they had fixed the features, library and scrobbling properly, but I guess that was just naive thinking on my part.

Also, the fact that they don't seem to care at all that 95% (or more) of the users completely hate this new piece of shit they've created and refuse to listen to any negative (but constructive) criticism makes me believe that they WANT lastfm to go down the drain...

And what the fuck is it with this Get Satisfaction bullshit? Or logging in with Facebook or Google? Huh?

Thanks for butchering lastfm.

I don't have much to add here. I agree with everyone else. Last.fm is about stats, profiles and friends to me - options for all of which have been massively ruined. I had made use of lots of community made tools in my "About Me" section to further enhance my experience using this website, now they're all gone (for now).

One of my main issues is that I use Spotify Premium for music, and Last.fm has a Spotify on demand play feature. I'd go to artist pages in Last.fm and set 15 or more songs playing in order of popularity. Now if I try to do that I'm taken to another page where I'm given the option to only play that one individual song... I honestly can't even comprehend how such a website design was able to launch.

This trend in making everything mobile-friendly makes websites look like utter shit on desktops. Since when do people concentrate on telephones ahead of computers? This is a dark, extremely bad trend which should be avoided at all costs.

Oh, and not to mention that there’s no About Me section. It’s like the profile pages have lost a touch that made them personal, instead making them more bland and generic. The same horrible evolution that has infected YouTube over the years.

I desperately miss the library view (link), it was an excellent way of exploring profiles. Now you can only see photos of the first five artists/bands. What on earth...

Please, don’t destroy your website. The previous version is superior in uncountable ways. Please, please revert. For us and for YOU. Let me just say though that I appreciate you’re working on something new but you must acknowledge your users’ feedback. This isn’t good enough to replace what you had, at least not at this point in time. Perhaps later but it’ll require A LOT of work.

For now, revert to the previous, superior version please.

How ironic, this place is 'powered by Get Satisfaction'. Get satisfaction, on this hopeless site? You have to be kidding.

Whenever there is change, there will be people complaining about it. I've seen this multiple times over the course of my time on the internet (15 years now). The complaints always due to personal taste and just general non progressiveness of the users.

In this case, people are completely right. What the hell is the new last fm supposed to do exactly? All I'm seeing is what I'm listening to and what the top artists/tracks are worldwide. Where the hell are the community features? Music recommendations?

Go back to the old site and finish what you have started. Who in their right mind thought this was a ready to ship project when the site registration isnt even working? What the actual ****?

Exactly. I've seen people give tons of constructive criticism in forums before the launch and it was definitely not just hate for change. If it was just 'fear of change', which occurs every now and then, there wouldn't be that many people complaining and trying to suggest how to do better.

The new site is so horrible I could cry. After more than 220,000 scrobbles, I feel Last.FM has dug its own grave. SO gutted.  And no, I will not get used to this.

One week passed and nothing changed for the better. Meanwhile the developers are posting on Instagram about matches, Windows 10 and ice cream ( https://getsatisfaction.com/lastfm/topics/lead-lastfm-dev-comment-on-new-windows-design) while pretending to work (https://getsatisfaction.com/lastfm/topics/dear-staff ) No wonder...
