Artist charts by week as well as all time

In the old site, artist pages would display the week's most scrobbled songs. However on the new site it displays the all-time chart.

While it is nice to see which are the most popular songs ever for each artist, there really should be a choice to display that artist's most popular songs by week, month, year etc.

Unless I'm being an idiot and can't find this option anywhere.

I agree. An artist could release an album with some amazing new songs that won't appear in the top 10 at all on the artist page, probably right at the bottom of the list. This new album could contain the best songs this artist has ever produced, yet the top tracks showing won't be. It could be this way for months, years or indefinitely.

Also I think total Scrobbles gives a much better representation of song popularity as you can listen to songs multiple times, but you can only be a listener of that song once!

This seems like another case of "Quick! Change as much as possible, even if it's a downgrade."

If something is not easy to find, the website becomes unattractive and thus useless. Beta is like that on too many levels still. (not saying you will find it, I wouldn't know though)

I would like this too! Even more if it didn't consider deleted scrobbles like the old Last.fm version.

First quarter of 2016?  So it's imminent?  Be good to know when it's coming back - I really miss it

Yeah, not happening, like everything else. This is probably why they normally ignore questions about "when" and if they're answered, they're vaguely worded (it was "planned for" "some time" within the first quarter) - because then we can point fingers when they fail to deliver. I feel there's no real roadmap at all and they're just making it up as they go along.

Sorry, this has now been delayed while the music catalogue works are being carried out.

Nice. I preferred the all-time charts, but it will be nice to have the recent charts back for comparison.

Bumping this thread.
Is there an option for all time by default?

I came back to last.fm a year or two ago and quit when I realised that to find the best songs I'd have to click 100+ times for individual tabs. It's borderline painful to find great music instead of good but new.

Last.fm specialises in that, and it doesn't make a lot of sense for users who browse that way.

(All I'm asking is for the option being buried in settings somewhere, lol. If it's better for business to show new music, good.)
