Artork upload issue

When I try uploading an artwork to an album, teh upload gets stuck and I have to refresh the page and re-upload to make it work.
This problem appeard at the same time as the "ghost scrobbling" issue, so it might be linked (the problem a lot of people have where half of the tracks you scrobble arent registered)

I'm afraid I've had this issue since I joined in July 2017, not connected to this new issue, I doubt there's a link.

it appeared all of a sudden 2 days ago while I had no problems the last two years, that's really weird

I had that problem last night, several times. Very frustrating.

Now I'm also getting the "form disabled, listen to more music!" error. LOL

OK here's a sort of work-around. Still a pain in the ass, but at least it's a few less steps.

  1. Click the link to upload artwork.
  2. Once the page to choose a file loads, hit refresh on your browser.
  3. Click choose file and after you've selected the file, click upload.

I've got the same problem ever since the new Manage Setting option came available
https://getsatisfaction.com/lastfm/topics/manage-settings-cookie-interferes-art-uploads

but it als causes freezes on other parts of the website. for instance the pull down menu voor selection another time span in the library section.

and occasional also when clicking on albumart on any album page, to get a larger image of that art.

it's annoying cause it's not consequent and can happen at any page but usually a page-refresh works as workaround.

I had the exact problem 2 years ago, look here: https://getsatisfaction.com/lastfm/topics/picture-uploading-problems

It disappears when I turn off my adblocker. But last.fm is not very comfortable to use without an AdBlocker so I prefer to refresh the picture uploading page before I hit the Upload button.

Some strange things going on here. Another example: Sometimes I can't visit my Inbox because the Dropdown-Menu disappears before I can click the link.

I'm currently investigating this -- it looks like some adblockers are having a problems with partial page loading (can reproduce this with Adblock Plus).  As a workaround: after you initially load the image upload page, do a hard refresh, and then try uploading your image.  If that doesn't work, please try disabling you adblocker temporarily before navigating to the image upload page.

I've used Opera browser with their integrated adblocker disabled. Their adblocker partially uses the same block lists as Adblock plus (EasyList and NoCoin for example). If it gets enabled, it prevents me from adding videos to track pages recently (was no problem in the past), but album covers could be uploaded on second try (reload). I had adblocker enabled for a while because there are sometimes malicious ads which redirect Last.fm automatically to a spam page while the radio is playing.
