This is done to prevent items getting out of sync during switch over
  • Add posting restrictions to prevent spammers ruining everything
  • Respect blocked artist, track and album pages
  • Allow staff to soft delete events
  • One time subscription flow
    Disabled while in beta
  • Basic event creation
    Disabled while in beta
  • Release dates for albums
  • Allow users to set a date-range for their charts
  • Allow users to add and remove tags
    Disabled while in beta
  • Update support links
  • Last.fm dashboard/logged-out homepage
  • Give anonymous users access to beta.last.fm
  • Add user tags to catalogue pages
Bugfixes

  • Preserve language when logging in
  • Cope with missing data on library catalogue pages
  • Make login link and user dropdown visible on small screens
  • Stop verification bar clashing with mobile masthead
  • Fix password reset for users with multiple accounts under one email address
  • Allow users to delete scrobbles with + characters
  • Send correct password reset email subject
  • Show correct stats on track page "from album" section
  • Redirect users correctly after password reset
  • Fix issue where user may be logged out while browsing the site
  • Respect privacy settings when replying to messages
  • Allow country to be set to None in user settings
  • Cope with missing catalogue urls
  • Only show delete button on own scrobbles
  • Fix shoutbox alignment on subscriber track pages
  • Fix issue where non-artist shouts couldn't be deleted
  • Properly cope with failure when creating accounts
  • Show shouts on artist images
  • Make common gig times come first in the event time dropdown
  • Add space between redirect notification and library header
  • Render library album page scrobbles even when scrobble history is missing
We've also fixed a number of cases where scrobble counts were wildly out. We're tracking down the last remaining missing scrobbles now.

Cheers,
Team Last.fm

Hi - you mention Muzu vids on track pages. My videos that were imported to Last.fm from Muzu (several months ago) have now disappeared from their respective track pages. I know there are a lot of fixes being looked into at the moment, but I wanted to ask why that might be. I took a peek at some celebrity pages (like Madonna's), and I see many Muzu videos there.
For reference, my Muzu vids are for artist: The Prefab Messiahs

I just stumbled onto this.  It's a shame this isn't stickied somewhere so it's easier to fined. And this was posted 6 days ago!!   Users are really interested in seeing updates during this crucial time.  This message board makes it very hard to find important information.

Thanks for your feedback.  Updates and announcements can always been found here: https://getsatisfaction.com/lastfm/categories/lastfm_updates

I will see what we can do about improving visibility.

Are you going to fix the bug where our profile pages are filled with ads and our About Me has a 200 character limit with no html/bb code?

Mr. James Scott (the Web dev lead it seems), no offense, but you and your team did a terrible job with this redesign. What is the purpose of this new site?

Cheers.

The redesign didn't improve anything. I think it's very hypocritical to call it an update. I suppose it's about streamlining the website and reduce details so that it's not too demanding for potential stupid new users. Horrible for the Lastfm fans, such economical thinking.

When wil lthe user tag cloud and the user playlists return? And please make the profile customizable again. The Yahoo ad ribbon in place of the old BBCode profile really is an abomination.

Now that things have settled down after the big release we'll get back in to our two-weekly sprint cycle. This means you should see releases every fortnight. The next one will be around 10-14 days from now.

Things have "settled down" because you have a) chosen to ignore all the negative backlash and b) because you've simply removed the link to this forum here from the main page.

10-14 days?!?!

I seriously hope it's not just one feature of the site at a time.

Settled down?! Most features are still broken and/or missing! Updating every 10-14 days is ridiculous. This whole update has been a giant clusterfuck of unprofessionalism.

I really can't get over the wording here. Following the universally negative reaction of your userbase you should be all over the place and in emergency mode.
Instead you're telling us things have "settled down"...?! What is going on with Last.fm? Everyone leaning back now, congratulating themselves, great launch, big success? Have I stumbled into bizarro world?

Apparently "settled down" refers to the data migration and the immediate bug fixes which accompanied the migration, not to activity in this forum.

The big release? More like The Big Sleep by the looks of it. But hey, at least we have an official answer, i appreciate that.

Latest version? I don't see a difference? Could you please prioritise things that matter to users?

"Now that, without notice, we have forced this broken beta website onto our user base and removed all the feature that people loved, we are proceeding to try and fix the mess we created. And we're going to take our fucking time doing it, too"

Just a reminder re: Muzu videos, James -- my band (The Prefab Messiahs) has 8 vids on Muzu. All were on their respective Last.fm track pages before the site change, and now they're all gone.

Sorry kryystof. Our Muzu stuff is a little out of date at the moment. We're looking to start importing videos again soon which should mean your stuff gets brought across. I don't have a date for this right now though.

It would be great if we could filter events that are not only next to me but also to any place that I can choose.

When i hover my mouse over the approximate number of scrobbles on artist pages i see the exact number. For Arthur Blythe 33,7K -> 33,633. I haven't noticed this before. Is this the big update? :)
P.S. This is good, however is not enough. Please get rid of those ridiculous and retarded "2,4M listeners" etc. This is not kindergarten.

Nah, it's been like that since the beginning. The update (unsurprisingly) hasn't happened yet.

A site (last.fm) which is a key element of the numbers, strange that choose this option it to show the numbers. Horribly repulsive!
The last.fm all the bad ideas copied from other websites, instead it would have created unique.

The last.fm is now empty, buggy, incomplete, characterless.
