As far as I know, this is still on the todo list, but in the meantime you could use the Lazify app for this if you use a mobile device. They use Last.fm's similar tracks API call for creating their playlists.

If you have a Spotify account, the brand-new version 1.0.37 of their desktop client has a new option to "Create Similar Playlist" in the right-click context menu and/or the three-dot drop menu of each playlist, e.g. your Discover Weekly or Release Radar playlist, but also any self-created playlist.

Yeah i use the api occasionally for this, but it would be very nice to have it on the native page so i can play it with the awesome topbar player.
i much prefer the youtube player from the spotify one, namely cause spotify aint always scrobbling accurately.

Still, it's frustrating. For one thing, Spotify isn't available all around the world. And if the data does exist, and unless I'm terribly mistaken, showing this extra data should be as simple as creating an interface for showing the data and then sticking a link for "more similar tracks" next to the uninspiring 4 that's already being displayed.

If you prefer to watch YouTube videos instead of Spotify audio tracks, you could simply play similar artists radios from Last.fm artist profiles as a workaround. The generated programmes will probably be quite similar to a long similar tracks list. As mentioned before, bringing back that page is still on the to-do list, as far as I know.

no garanteed outcome, neather do you get a good perspective of what's actually related to the specific track. i usually look for songs with artists i don't expect to find on the list aka what's not in similar artists and therefore i presume not in the similar artist radio. so i like the controll the long list gives me.

There is a new online tool generating Spotify playlists from Last.fm's similar tracks (up to 250 which equals about 16 hours of music):

http://www.moosic.me/

So it is similar to Lazify which only works for mobile devices now. Related Reddit thread:

By the way, you can also fill in more than one track as a seed, and the result will contain similar tracks for all of them. So it is somehow similar to the multiple artists radio feature on the old site if you generate e.g. 250 similar tracks from three different tracks and play the resulting Spotify playlist in shuffle mode.

The Spotify desktop client usually scrobbles reliably except for the recent problems due to Last.fm datacentre issues. Their web player is much more problematic though, so using an external brower extension for scrobbling with it might make sense. Finally Spotify's mobile apps do not have an offline scrobble cache, so you will loose scrobbles when not bein online all the time.
