Doubled artists, scrobbles appearing, but only in visualisation

Okay, so here it goes...
I have scrobbled artist "Bonson/Matek", everything seemed okay, till I saw his (Bonson's) solo career page.
Then I saw the scrobbles for Bonson/Matek appear also there: but they are just bleak visualisation, because after clicking them, no scrobbles/albums were shown.

Also the scrobbles for Bonson/Matek appears, in the correct form. And the bands' counter is showing me only +1 artist.

As they are different artist - or should I say, different faces of the one artist (solo career, collaboration), I would like to see them separately, as they were, at last.

Here are screenshots:

It's another variation on the corrections problems we've been seeing.  It's the opposite problem to the Septicflesh issue you reported (I'll explain below). Basically all of this stuff is wired to the same bespoke service (the realtime scrobble storage system) which has some complicated rules about when and where corrections should be applied in your library and on the site, which don't always match up with the catalogue's rules on redirections. Our team are in the process of gutting and replacing this system with a more industry standard database, and both of these problems should be fixed when we deploy it (mid to late q1 is the current estimate).

This is an example where the service is treating Bonson and Bonson/Matek as equivalent (i.e. it thinks Bonson should be corrected to -> Bonson/Matek), and is displaying the same scrobble data on both pages, but there's no correction in the catalogue layer so the site doesn't know to redirect the user from Bonson to Bonson/Matek.  To confirm this, if you use universal scrobbler to scrobble a track by Bonson and then a track by Bonson/Matek, it'll show both in your recent tracks Bonson/Matek (unless you turn corrections off).  If you check your library, both scrobbles will be listed under Bonson/Matek as if they were corrected (regardless of your correction setting, that's a different issue which will also be fixed by this work).

Septicflesh has the exact opposite problem.  There's no correction applied in the scrobble storage layer, so it thinks that Septicflesh and Septic Flesh are distinct artists (each page has different stats, and they're listed separately in your library), but there is a correction in the catalogue layer which remaps Septic Flesh to Septicflesh.  The result is in your library both artists are listed seperately, but with the same name; if you go to the catalogue page of Septic Flesh it has different scrobble and listener stats from Septicflesh.

Here's another example of the same problem, at the track level:

https://www.last.fm/music/Mariah+Carey/_/Dedicated
https://www.last.fm/music/Mariah+Carey/_/Dedicated+%28feat.+Nas%29

Both tracks have the exact same data (scrobbles and listeners), because they've been corrected in the scrobble storage system, but not in the catalogue layer (no redirection).  In all of these cases, this should never happen: whether there's a correction or not, the catalogue and scrobble db should be in agreement, and that's what we're working on fixing right now.

Thanks for an answer :) Bonson should be redirected at first, as his works for years was only with Matek, but in 2017 (so, current year) he went to solo career with one album yet.
Anyway, I wish it will be fixed soon. I'm quite curious now, what will happen after scrobbling "Bonson" alone - will I have one artist more, or not? But I will see soon, anyway.

Sounds like there shouldn't be a correction at all, but we can figure that out when the time comes.

>>> will I have one artist more, or not?

Right now, if you scrobble a track as 'Bonson', it will be counted in your library as "Bonson/Matek".

The scrobble db thinks Bonson has been corrected to Bonson/Matek so charts will be merged under one artist 'Bonson/Matek' in your library.  When we deploy the new db next year, they should be separated out into Bonson and Bonson/Matek, which is what the website/catalogue thinks they should be.

That's right, there shouldn't be a correction at all. I did a mistake, and the solo album was printed in 2016, but here it can be seen there's one album in that year without anyone (unfortunately, it's only polish wiki for this artist, so all polish "(oraz Matek)" means "(with Matek)")

Anyway, thanks for the answer. I'll wait patiently. :)
