Imagine, if we could edit our wrong scrobbled tracks or album names...

Hey, LAST.FM, Can you make us more happier? Just invent that feature!

I would love this feature. Being able to correct old scrobbles with tag errors whilst preserving the time stamps would be great. I definitely support this request.

Yes, especially old scrobbles... when we were young and didn't care how we scrobble or didn't know.

This would be a phenomenal feature. Scrobbling from multiple services and devices is playing havoc with my tagging OCD.

I've been asking for this for years. Barring this, I would also be OK with having the restriction on submission of old scrobbles removed so I can fix old scrobbles with the Universal Scrobbler; being unable to go back more than two weeks in my library has resulted in my keeping inconsistencies in my library that I'd rather not have present (for example, I have each half of Wolves in the Throne Room's "Face in a Night Time Mirror" under at least three different titles in my library right now). I'd rather have my library reflect exactly how many times I've listened to a given composition, but since sometimes they're released under multiple titles, and because I wasn't always consistent with my tags in the past, I don't always have accurate reflections of that within my library. I also didn't care about album tags at all for the first several years I was on last.fm, since there was nothing in our profiles that reflected those, so my album tags are a mess. There is no way to fix any of this right now; if I were to go back and re-submit scrobbles, it would play havoc with the dates in my profile. Those aren't completely accurate either, since I didn't care so much about them before the date-sensitive features were implemented, but now that we have them, I want those to be as accurate as possible as well.

In short, being able to manage our libraries to get rid of misspellings and inconsistencies would solve one of the biggest issues I've had with this site for a long time. Either being able to auto-correct our own libraries or to resubmit past scrobbles would help fix this. (Manually re-submitting old scrobbles using the Universal Scrobbler would be a hugely time-consuming process, but I'm probably obsessive enough to do it eventually.)

One approach for this issue, would be the introduction of a personal library in parallel with the current global library(with its statistics, auto corrections and whatever else). Please clone my library to a personal editable version(which will not affect global statistics) and allow me to do any correction I want(either manually or with a tool)

Yes, such an option would be awesome...
And I think the auto-correct mechanism would remain pretty much "unemployed", since a lot of such corrections would be made by us...

This is what happened to me. I use the last.fm scrobbler plug-in for Chrome. Lately, I realised that I have to actually type the album name every time the track plays in order to get the album tag. (Even when I was listening to the whole album on Spotify) I am fine with that tbh. However, I am so frustrated with the past scrobbles as they're all without the album tags. As a result, my "Top Album" are some albums that I rarely listen to, and it definitely doesn't reflect how I listen. An edit option would be so nice for my situation.

This is something we'd like to support in the future, and we're currently investigating the technical feasibility of it.

This NEEDS to be implemented, however I hope they find a way for it not to be abused, like preventing people from scrobbling 45 second tracks and then changing the name for the name of a 15 minute track and stuff like that

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Change tags on existing scrobbles.

It would be nice to be able to edit meta-data after I scrobble. Spotify has awful meta-data at times. Especially with non-Latin alphabets.

Ah, yes, in such situations you don't have anything to do.
It's wrong, of course, but for now you can't correct it.
You can even make first a temporary correction to another wrong title (let's say For Lines) and then edit it again to the correct one -- you'll end up with it again in all small caps.
I only hope we'll find, some day, this problem of "all small caps" or "all caps" titles is solved.

Ok, but why did last.fm autocorrect the titles to small caps? I had right track info.

the first song to be scrobbled with the tag is the one that will be recorded. some people use it to mess up the site, for example; https://www.last.fm/music/Megan+Thee+....
you can try asking for a staff to edit the tag to the correct one.

It's been 2 years since the user's most waited option was asked. Are there any news about it?
