Error Reporting System to Fix Titles & Redirections

There are a lot of errors to fix in the catalogue and this will be an ongoing process as long as people make mistakes in their tags. Here in the support forum we have now forms to report incorrect artist redirections and incorrect capitalisations. Misspelled titles can already be reported with the button on the song page (but without suggesting the correct title for a fix and to be honest, I didn't have much success using this button). I think there should be an error reporting system on the main page to submit all sorts of possible errors, because to find a) the support forum and b) the correct place to report is one step too much for many people.

I have 2 ideas:

1. Add the functionality of the reporting forms to the already existing button on the page. So if you click "not a correct title", it should ask "what's the problem" and lead to a form to submit the error and suggest a fix. The button should be added to artist and album pages as well.

2. Add an edit function, so users can fix the titles & redirections for their own view. The edits should be counted as suggestions for a fix, so the moderators can check and unlock them for the public. Or unlock automatically if more people suggest the same edit.

We initially did 1 last year and quickly realised it was too early to solicit detailed information from users as the datateam weren't ready to act on it.  At the moment, it's not possible to add new correction mappings to the site or remove existing ones, as this work isn't complete yet.  The redirections you're seeing on the site right now were imported from the old site, which used a different catalogue framework and it doesn't quite mesh 100% with the catalogue we're using now (hence there are issues).  The plan for later this year is to replace the old correction dataset with the new one, which we expect will fix a lot of the catalogue related issues people are currently reporting and enable us to act on redirection requests - at which point I expect we'll be looking for more detailed user feedback.

As for 2.  It's been discussed as a possibility, but further increases the complexity of corrections (an already complicated system), so realistically I don't expect it to happen with the resources we have currently.

one option to consideration : users can add mbid:s at album level. those should fix artists and albums and processing can be automated.
