I think the event system may still need some work. I'm getting plenty of recommendations on the homepage, but the same events don't seem to be showing up in the search.

Also, I'm not sure how the "near you" thing is calculated, but if they're trying to guess based browser data, it's not an exact science.  I remember years ago when loads of sites used to think I was in France, turned out it was because my ISP routed all their traffic through proxy servers located near Paris :-/

I really loved Last.fm because of events, now I can't see which events my friends are attending or I can't change location of where I am. Maybe I don't want to attend concerts only inear me. Slovenia is small and sometimes I don't might going to attend concert in other country. Also recommendations for events are not okay, I don't listen metal and of course I'm not going to attend this concerts. Why do you recommend me that Last.fm?

the system needs LOTS of work....it's far, but veeeeeery far from being even acceptable...
I've used to have at least 15-20 events near me, also, it looks like this part of the page totally lost it's functionality, since there is nothing else you can do...it's really frustrasting and sad to know that bugs are just increasing, instead of being fixed....

If I go to the artist page and find their tour dates it shows a blue check mark next to the one I'm attending but there's no way to find the complete listing of events I'm attending.

I can't see my events I am attending or attended. This is hte key reason I use the website, to keep track of all my gigs! I can't add a new gig for an artist either, so I don't know how I'm supposed to keep up with future gigs now........

Same here, there should be an option to download the data if nothing else.  It sounds like a lot of us chose last.fm to log our past events.  I know that I went back like 15 years to log stuff, this is a pretty major issue.

Events function seems pretty screwed to me as well.  Showing the wrong town, and can't find a way to correct it (worked fine under the old site).

The Events listing was the best part of Last.fm for me, so a real shame to see this rendered useless to me in its current state.

yeah, how can I see my events? How can I monitor when they are, what's the club location, what's the ticket price, what's the timetable if I can't go to my events list? why you're ruining the site, that was working well and everybody loved it? :(

Please could we have an update of Last Fm's intentions for Events.  I spent hours recreating a history of events going back to 1987.  I love browsing through these!  Has this information gone forever.

I do not think old events are lost (go to the page of the artist, choose events and then the page of the gig you went to: you'll see you attended). Still, the site sucks big time, since it's now impossible to add new events or correct information on existing ones. It is also no longer possible to suggest corrections on titles of songs or names of artists.

After the first few days it seems that no improvement has been made to the beta site, nor missing feature have been added. It looks like they think this version is fine with them, while it clearly isn't!

So I'm not just too blind to find the edit features. There is no way to add new events, nor can I correct false information, comment on, or flag an existing event. For instance, there is no way for me to try and mark a cancelled event as such now. Zero interaction – this redesign roll-out is really a mess, nobody seems to be in charge.

For a long time no events for the mobile version, now no events in the Web version.I will not wait any longer.
The events get closer ..... I think so slowly it's time to say goodbye Last.fm
and find me something better.

you would have to run the old parallel events

I'm sure they're working on it, I just wish they would have had it functional before launching! Then again, I know that you can test new sites all you like but can't always know how it'll work until it's live!

That's the thing, they had the separate beta site, so I wonder whose idea it was to switch over with just a fraction of the functionality implemented. That's just inexcusably poor project management. I don't get why on the web, some people still think it's okay to shut down your old stuff before the new stuff is ready. This wouldn't fly in any other industry.

Is there a way how to ADD event (i can't do it, maybe i didn't find a way)? And how can I (temporarily?) change my location so i could see the gigs in my capital city or another state next to me? Thanks.

I too severly miss that feature, instead of bunch of awesome autumn concerts in other cities that I plan to go next months they are showing me crap, like why would I ever want to go see Eros Ramazotti? Cause he's near? Oh c'mon. And who'd think this site is all about gathering data of one's music taste...

THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. Many of us have been tracking events for 10+ years and have hundreds or thousands of them listed as a personal diary. GET THIS BACK UP NOW.

The update is terrible. Where is my event history??? Finding an event near me is exhausting, because I have to read 50 pages. I also miss the connection with my agenda/ calendar.
Please bring this back!!!!!

- Unable to pick a city to look for events there.
- Sometimes it will show events in Moscow even though I'm in St. Petersburg
- RSS feed for the recommended events is gone.
- And indeed to event history any more.

Please fix this, folks!

Losing Events is a bit of a game changer for this user of last.fm. I have recently set up a Songkick account in the hope of making up for this loss, but it does not have the same functionality that last.fm Events did. Get your act together, last.fm, and don't force a new website on customers until you've got it ALL working. If I had been a paying customer I would be demanding my money back.

Same here. PLEASE bring back the event history.

I used the Last.fm Android app to synchronize events to my smartphone. That's not working anymore too.

Judging by this, we should hopefully be seeing some improvements next week

So, event history is back!!! Looks like progress is being made -- all we need now is event creation and editing to be available again (any chance of that before Christmas?).

Yep, that shows a grand total of 12 events, non in my city. Like most people here, it's not representative, and we can't search for events further afield.

We are referring to our own personal events - both past and upcoming. These have still not been restored as far as I am aware?
