I can't see my events (still) and the ones that are recommended are not relevant for me. I don't listen metal and Serbian turbo folk music.

On 9th of October on their Twitter they replied to someone: ''Even creation will be re-enabled soon''. It says nothing, but okay. Guess we just have to wait.

It's been two months and I can take every change, whether for better or worse, but I want events back, and I want them back now, it's been long enough.

This is terrible. This was a great site, extremely useful, but now it's worthless. I want the events back as soon as possible, and it's been months. At least maybe email me all the events I had in my history so I can go somewhere else and create what I lost from Last.FM.

Try seeing if the Wayback Machine archived your events. Go to archive.org and enter
Not the most comfortable solution, but with a little luck you can still see your list.

Nice suggestion, but it didn't work for me unfortunately. "Wayback Machine doesn't have that page archived."

Unfortunately, mine weren't archived either. Others might be more lucky. I could reconstruct some of them from the ones shown in the side bar, by browsing through the different versions of my main profile page.

I used to at least be able to track my events in my google calendar, which was synced. Now even that is gone, I noticed it yesterday. Is there a way to recover and download the list of events from somewhere?

Same here and I only just noticed!
I use(d) Last.fm as my personal gig calendar and synced it with my google calendar so I have everything in one place. I don't have the dates written down anywhere else (why would I?) so how the hell am I supposed to keep track of the gigs I want to attend now?
It's been MONTHS, Last.fm, aren't you embarrassed of yourselves?! You're robbing us of our data (a little heads up would have been nice!!) and no one can be bothered to let us know what the fuck is going on!

I honestly don't believe they are going to fix this anymore...

Surely that (and all the other problems) would be the death of lastfm? Why would they not bother to fix it?
I really don't get it, I'd just like to know what's going on and why no one is talking to us. There's absolutely nothing (!) I like about the new website but I could live with everything except losing my event data. I'm in my 10th (!!) year on lastfm and my event history is very important to me.

This should be simple, though. Make our event data accessible to us and let us know our favourite feature is gone. Or, give us updates on what's being done to fix it, how much longer we'll have to wait, etc. I'd rather be told we're wasting our time posting here than given false hope it's being worked on and being let down in the future.

Same here -- all we need now is to be able to create new events and edit them.

Event history has returned! Joy for all! Thank you last.fm. Now, an update regarding event creation, editing, etc would be grand.

Very relieved to see historical event history back.

so - event history and upcoming events are back. what's still missing for me is the following:
- see which users are attending a concert, not just how many.
- being able to add events
- pagination for upcoming events - I want to be able to jump directly to the last page of upcoming events, because that's usually where the new stuff jumps in. right now I have to click to "next page" several times, starting at page one, to get to the end
- being able to specify location, not just "near me". Planning a trip to another place or wanting to narrow the search are user needs here.
- bringing calendar feeds back
I consider these as fixes, all that worked at some point and I used these features regularly.

New feature request:
- Ad an icon or alert or label for new upcoming events which have been added so I don't have to browse all upcoming events all the time.
- Being able to remove upcoming events in my personalized view if they are not relevant to me (thinking of it I think this worked before already)...

I live near Vancouver, BC Canada. I used to get 'event's for Vancouver but on this new beta I have never had an event show up.

I use to love to see what shows were coming up in my area, but now under events I always get "There are no events in your area." I live in Toronto!

i know this is tragic, but until event functionality returns to normal standards(hope before 2017) you can use a URL like "http://www.last.fm/events?latlong=40.63935,22.944607" changing to the latitudes of your location

Even changing it to lat/long still comes up empty. :(

probably no events had been added, but even that is a tragic trick

yes, I think that's the problem: It was impossible to add events for several months and I believe all events are added by users (either listeners or artists), so no wonder there are no events showing up.

I think all events on lastfm are user submitted, so yeah, could genuinely be none have been added. I've got loads showing within 20 miles of me.
Test it out - find an event near you on the web, add it, then see if it shows up...

Tested it out, added an event near me. didn't show up on Artists page nor my LFM profile.

That's weird. I added a load 2 weeks back, and if I go to the event tabs on their page they all show up.
Maybe cached? Might refresh every hour or so. Just guessing though tbh.

Oh sorry, I see it on the Artists page now, and if I click on 'Interested' on the event, then it shows up on my profile. Didn't have to do that before. Anway, tks for your help.

I still cannot see any events in my city, and there is no option to search for events. at all, not by artist name, venue or city - I often travel to other cities and countries for gigs. I still get suggestions (although they are all festivals) it just suggested to me an event I am already attending, which means there is no duplication checking when people are adding events (the event details are identical)

Events are fundamentally broken. Events at http://www.last.fm/events have nothing in common with my music. A lot of concerts and gigs is shown here but it is not classic recommended events.
