Expanding search view

In actual Last.fm we have only possibility to see five artists/albums/tracks after search for something we want. I don't have to say it's not enough sometimes.
So here is the question: is it planned to expand search view, giving us option to see more than five most popular ones?

Currently you have to search may albums, tracks or artists on last.fm with an extern search engine. Said politly: That's sad. The expansion is a "must have"
I'm interested in Toms question. (In the answer of course.)

... and probably only one single line of programming code. Ignorance (= Vanity) is one of the hells, Dante was talking about. Unbelievable Tom, unbelievable.

Yes, of course we do, but it's a matter of prioritisation.  Currently the search is basic but functional -- whereas there are other features that aren't available at all.  It'll happen, but it'll take it time.

Can you give me some specific examples where you couldn't find the result you were looking for?  If I can reframe this as a bug, it might help bump this up the priority list (or at least improve the results).

That's a kindly idea. So thank you. Most problems arise, when you work on a discography of an artist and didn't find an album. After all it's often a question of correct spelling. But who knows the "correct" title of an album or track? Was there a ".", or a "-" or a "!" in the title? One single sign and you find nothing. I search for some examples later. But at the moment a few little things: If you search for "Old School" from Popa Chubby and don't know the artists name, you have problems. The same with "Now What" (exactly "Now What?!") by Deep Purple.
If you search for Popa Chubby's album "Live At The FIP" you haven't success. You have to search for "Popa Chubby Live At FIP", otherwise you won't find it. A little bit tricky right? Already a longer hitlist would reduce such searching problems.
I agree, the most things you can find with it and that is good. But a lot of tracks, albums or artists aren't easy to find, or can't be found without the correct signs and with a searching result of 5 (five) hits. In a quiet moment I search for better examples.

Same as Andreas_Wotte said, but I also have problem when it comes to not-that-well-known bands, especially with popular word in part of name. I don't have perfect examples which I searched, just can't remember it, but we can easily see: if I write "shadow", I can't see "Shadow" band - so exactly this what I was searching. Also, same happens with "Numb". And so on, just write anything what comes to mind, but name with this word only is not that popular.

PS: I don't want to be rude or something, so sorry for this unnecessary postscript, but it's kinda funny reading "whereas there are other features that aren't available at all" when I remember not-important-at-all shoutbox features. Anyway, I hope staff will take aim on something we beg for whole year.

"The Pitch"
is a name of two bands. Sietse Van Erve reported a problem with an album off this band. The bands are listed on discogs and musicbrainz. If I search "The Pitch" on your mobile site, I only see "The Pitcher", "The Pichforks", "The Pitcher & Slim Shore" and "The Pitcher & Noisecontrollers". But the band The Pitch on last.fm exist.

Here is another one Jon: A classic "Various Artists Issue". The normal user wouldn't search for "Various Artists - O Brother Where Art Thou" because "Various Artist" is insider knowledge, right? She or he only would search for "O Brother Where Art Thou". Not one result of this search makes any sense. Try by yourself.

My last example for this sunday Jon: Search some sampler, I've listened to this evening:
"Various Artists - Cafe Del Mar" Volumen 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. - Not easy to find. Do you agree? By the way
  1. The artwork and and album assignment are different between Recently Played Tracks and the album site
  2. It's a case of "Various Artists Scrobbling Issue".
but only by the way. Good luck.

Up. By the way, I have some related problem, and here it is: there are two artists (which are one guy, but one is incorrect and one is correct) - x-Rx and [x]-Rx.
But if I search by "[x]-Rx" I can see only "x-Rx", no artist with brackets.

Yes please fix this. Today I searched the artist KiNK, who is not part of the 5 search results.
