Germanic umlauts in tags?

Why is it still not possible to use germanic umlauts (ü, ä, ö) in the tags? Is it so hard for you to fix it? Even a tag-page with an germanic umlaut exist (https://www.last.fm/tag/neue+deutsche+härte). Didn`'t you think, who ever is responsible for this, to fix this damn problem after 1 1/2 years?

He is speaking of the Last.fm tags, not the ID3 tags. You can not use ä ö ü ß there at the moment, but apparently you could use them in the past. If you try to add them to a song page, you get this message:

"Tags must be shorter than 256 characters and may only contain letters, numbers, hyphens and spaces.
The following tags failed to be added: ä"

OK, I tested and it works if you tag using the desktop app, but not on the site.

And when will it be possible to tag artists on the site with words with germanic umlauts?
