How to stop automatically downloading album art??

I am using the official Last.fm app for scrobbling. I've noticed that sometimes I will open my photo gallery and there is a whole whack of album art that automatically downloaded. I know it's from last.FM because it is in the file name. I don't notice it happens always and I also stream from Deezer, GPM and Spotify so not sure if it's related to a particular music app.

How can I stop the album art from downloading?

I'm on a Tab 3 running Android 4.4 or something (I know, terrible!)

Sorry, there's no setting to disable this, but it should only download new images when you open the app and start browsing your top artists / albums.  I think the reason we store the images on your phone is so that we don't have to constantly re-download artist photos and album art every time you open the app.  That means you might end up with a lot of images, but the actual storage use should be fairly minimal (3mb on my phone for 200+ images).

Thank you so much for the reply!  Now I understand why it only happens once in awhile, and I just delete them, but now I can remember to delete them before backing my gallery up to Google Photos ha xD

Thanks.
