Most artists I listen to haven't had their latest albums imported yet, some of them were released upwards of a month ago. A few of these I added to the MusicBrainz database myself. Are album data imports not working anymore?

Maybe this is related: https://getsatisfaction.com/lastfm/topics/how-often-are-imported-album-informations-verified-and-che...

It is supposed to import the corrected album listing twice a week, but it doesn't.

Yeah, this feature is definitely broken at the moment. I've been waiting for new releases I've recently added to MusicBrainz to appear on Last FM and I'm still waiting over a month later.

The new Fever Ray album Plunge also still hasn't been imported over two weeks since its release.

It looks like the catalogue job has been silently failing after a faulty hard drive was replaced a few weeks ago.  The problem is being worked on now, but it might take another week for it to be fixed and the catalogue job to be successfully re-run (keep in mind it takes ~3 days to run on average).  Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime.

As you've probably noticed, this is taking longer to get working than originally anticipated.  The import job is currently running, so with a bit of luck, tracklists should update in the next couple of days.

If we've been scrobbling tracks that haven't been imported yet, will those scrobbles automatically go to the newly imported data?  Or will hey just be lost?

Usually the incoming scrobbles are saved in a different database than the catalogue database which hadn't been updated due to the hardware failure. So when the albums with the correct tracklist finally appear on the site when the import job is done, they should also show all scrobbles that belong to them.

Catalogue importer is up running again so we consider this issue resolved.  There's still some ongoing issues with specific albums not having complete tracklists or importing the wrong tracklist -- that was happening before this issue however, and is being looked into as a separate problem.  Please report specific problems with albums in a new conversation using the 'catalogue' category. Thanks.
