Is it possible for the last.fm moderators/adminisatrators to merge two artist tags into one? In my last.fm I have two artist tags for the same artist scrobbled ("TWICE (트와이스)" and "트와이스"). "트와이스" is the correct tag and therefore would it be possible for my scrobbles under the tag: "TWICE (트와이스)" to be altered to "트와이스"?

Not at the moment, but we'll be looking to address these later in the year.  For now, please go to TWICE (트와이스) artist page, and where it says "Is this correct?" on the right hand side, click "No".  Then go to the correct artist page, and do the same, but click "yes".

This should be extended to albums as well. I'm sure many of us have misnamed albums and artists that need to be merged into the correct one.

The option to vote for a name correction is available on each artist, album and track page. You might not see it first, because it is at the bottom of the right column below the ads.

I've voted for corrections many times, but none of them ever get corrected.  There needs to be a more direct approach that actually makes changes.  For example, I have a few Les Discrets albums that have been mis-tagged that need to be merged; I have voted on them, but nothing happens.  And there's many more.

And all these Opeth albums with the years in brackets, that were mistagged on my old mp3 player 6-7 years ago when I first started using last.fm, are all voted as incorrect, yet they remain unmerged.

This is what so many of us are complaining about.  We know we can vote, but voting, in this case, doesn't bring any change.  It's been almost two years since the redesign and I had really hoped that this would've been solved by now...at least give us greater control to correct our scrobbles.

at the moment nothing is being done with the votes, but when they start to clean up the database all the votes will be taken into account. so all we have to do is have 'a little patience' ;-)

The problem with the voting system is that we have no idea about the threshold because I bet these things are automatic rather than reviewed by human eyes.

As such, many of our votes are likely a waste of time unless someone at Last FM has a queue of artists, tracks and albums that they will steadily work their way through.

This stuff needs to be fixed ASAP. I might have to move somewhere else because of this problem. Incredibly annoying and completely defeats the purpose of having LastFM.
