iTunes 12.7 - not scrobbling [Windows]

I just downloaded the latest version of iTunes (12.7) and it does not appear to scrobble my tracks. It does not even open the scrobbler when I close and reopen iTunes. I have re-downloaded the iTunes plug in, then uninstalled and re-downloaded the scrobbler. Neither has worked. Is there a way to fix this? I am on a Windows 10 computer also.

Same here, I think that they need to update the scrobbler, maybe some APIs issues?

(Update 26th September)

Once again we apologise for the continued disruption.  A fix is currently in development and will be released as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience in the meantime.

(Updated 18th September)

Thank you for your reports everyone.

We're continuing to investigate the compatibility issue with the latest version of iTunes (12.7) on Windows and the official Last.fm Scrobbling plugin.  This plugin (itw_scrobbler.dll) is installed in your iTunes/Plug-Ins directory and acts as bridge between iTunes and the Last.fm desktop scrobbler, to allow the two applications to communicate with each other.

Early indications suggest that this and other third-party plugins are no longer loaded in iTunes 12.7.  It's not clear at this stage whether this is an intentional change by Apple, or an oversight with this release which will we be fixed in a future iTunes update.

Please be aware that there is no official workaround or fix at this time. If you have not yet upgraded to iTunes 12.7 and wish to continue scrobbling without difficulties, you may wish to consider postponing the 12.7 update until a solution is found.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.

If you have already upgraded and are unable to roll back to an earlier version of iTunes, then please use this thread to discuss the issue and user-made workarounds.  You can also find a list of alternative scrobblers for Windows desktop here.

Once again we're sorry for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

Original post:

Thanks for your reports, I'm testing this now.  Are you all on WIndows 10, or a different operating system?

Edit: I can reproduce this on windows 7.

It looks like 12.7 was a pretty major update to itunes, as they completely removed the app store also.

So the last.fm app is still working, and does offer a workaround. Turns out it can scan for pending scrobbles from iTunes and then post those too. It’s what i’m doing - sync with iPhone once or twice a day (that’s what’s practical for me), periodically do a scan for scrobbles and submit them (from last.fm app on phone). Not sure if this is only limited to tracks that are on your phone too.

Sorry. Was a bit of a broad assumption that a lot of people using itunes would have i-devices.

I have an ipod nano for years :)
And the main cause I have it is that itunes can scrobble it.
Or could.

I can't scrobble my library via Spotify and now I can't scrobble iTunes period?  Last.fm becomes more and more irrelevant by the minute.

I'm on Mac. My scrobbler doesn't scrobble tracks I manually add to my up next, but if I play the song or album directly they scrobble.
