iTunes stopped scrobbling from iPod a few days ago

Within the last week (staring May 6), when I connect my iPod Classic to my computer, iTunes will update playcounts but the Last.FM client will not pop up a list of tracks to scrobble. Any tracks I play directly in iTunes scrobble normally, but syncing is ignored. I don't know what could have changed in the meantime (I didn't upgrade anything).

Also, when I try to manually use the "Scrobble iPod" button in the Last.FM client's diagnostics window, it pops up a message "ITUNES NOT RUNNING!", even though it is, and Last.FM does recognize and scrobble tracks played in it. (The Scrobble iPod button only popping up this message has been the case for a long time, but could be involved)

iTunes 12.3.3.17 64-bit on Windows 10
Last.FM Scrobbler 2.1.37 (built on Qt 4.8.3)

I'm having this problem too with my iPod Classic. :( Usually, it can take some time for the list of tracks shows up when connecting my iPod to my Mac, but I've had it connected for a whole day now, and nothing happens. Please, Last.fm, fix this. :)

Which version of the scrobbler are you using? Is your iPod set to sync automatically to iTunes or do you manage manually?

You have a 64 bit host (iTunes) and want to use a 32 bit plug-in (Last.fm) and that may be one of the causes of the problem.
It looks like they develop iTunes according to the slogan "iTunes ain't done until Last.fm won't run". My advice would be to start looking for some other software with built-in Last.fm support.

Is this why Itunes will not run?

I've downloaded the iTunes for older video cards found here: https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1816?locale=en_GB and the "iTunes is Not Running" has gone in the scrobbler app and it seems to detect iTunes but my iPod scrobbles are still not being picked up at all. I've played loads of tracks today but the lastfm app is not picking them up from my iPod Classic. Please someone look at this, my stats are so messed up as it is! lol

This is another reason why we need the library reset/import feature back again because the scrobbler screws up regularly. Please listen.

Also for some reason I forgot my password on here and when I reset it, it created a new "phoenixbloom" profile, so I have two somehow, not my fault....

Got it!

I directed my question as to 64 to 32 bit, when is Last FM going to upgrade? The answer is always time to find another piece of junk to replace it -- " My advice would be to start looking for some other software with built-in Last.fm support" = find downgrade?

Right...just uninstalled iTunes (the version I mentioned above) and then the lastfm app, rebooted my pc and re-installed both. I opened up the lastfm app first and then opened iTunes from the app, my iPod scrobbles were picked up!

Don't forget to use the version of iTunes I linked to above and the current lastfm app.

Try this.

I'm getting this too with my Iphone. I used to be able to scrobble offline on my iphone than using the lastfm app, then I could scrobble it onto my iphone later. Any solutions?
