Due to King Crimson being now available for streaming services, has there been any change regarding album art of that band in Spotify?

For context, here's the first paragraph on their biography page:

(NOTE: Album covers and band images are not available due to certain legal restrictions imposed on last.fm by King Crimson's Management.)

This would be mega. It only makes sense given that the cover art is readily available for free on Spotify now.

As Descent is already using Spotify for artist and album images, you can have a fullscreen mode while listening to King Crimson music on Spotify now. It seems that it gets something wrong though, e.g. there should be a King Crimson artist image as background and the current background image as the album cover using its related configuration settings:

If you choose "Album" instead of "Artist" as the background image, you will not notice this error though:

You can discuss any issues with the developer of this external tool on his GitHub page.

As far as I remember, the Spotify desktop app also has a fullscreen mode for Premium users which can be enabled in the lower right corner of their player bar.

He was referring to last.fm, but he made a mistake in writing. He was asking are there any chances now to people be able to upload artists photos and covers of their popular records on last.fm.

From what I gather, they've changed their stance on Spotify because physical sales are in decline.  So it's in their interest to be available on the world's most popular streaming platform(s).

Last.fm isn't a streaming service any more, so this news doesn't affect us.

I don't think the intention was related to Last.fm being able to stream anything. If the band have relented their lengthy embargo on streaming their catalog, I think hope arose that it would also lift their artwork embargo, and we all just kinda wanted an update if the policy had changed. Still, it definitely does seem prudent to contact the band about it to try to get movement going. They have a "forum" on their official website where people could post the request and it is read by management.

As it says Album covers and band images are not available due to certain legal restrictions imposed on last.fm by King Crimson's Management. So they have the ball, not Last.fm.

I kinda don't want the album covers back, the comment section on the King Crimson artist page has become the most hilarious of all because of it.
