Last FM not scrobbling with updated version of Itunes (12.1.3)

I recently updated my Itunes to version 12.1.3.
However since I have done this, I am unable to scrobble as the Last FM Scrobbler does not recognize that Itunes is running.

Anytime I hit the command 'Scrobble Ipod' regardless of whether there's an Ipod plugged into Itunes or not it will always say 'Itunes not running'

This problem has only begun once I started using the updated version of Itunes

I am unable to download an older version of Itunes.

I've been having the same issue! Any songs that I listen to on iTunes on my laptop scrobbles, but I'm unable to scrobble from my iphone/ipod. It's super frustrating because lately I've been listening to music on my ipod/iphone so much more often than on my laptop.

Going to bump this. Last fm will recognize tracks played off of itunes but does not recognize any scrobbles made when synching my ipod. Just keeps giving the "I tunes not running" message.

Have you tried downloading the latest version of iTunes 64-bit for older video cards? That seems to work for some users who have run into this error.
