New design cuts off artist faces - example included

I really like the new last.fm design, though one cosmetic issue I've noticed is that the main artist image always picks the middle part of the photo, meaning that on some artists, it looks rather silly, such as Take That:



A couple options to fix this, either ask users to select the focal point of each photo when uploading, or simply only allow landscape photos instead of portrait.

I already raised this problem in the official "Website design update rolling out today" thread but I agree that the facility to select the focal point/faces of an image would be ideal to help rectify this situation. Blocking portrait images would perhaps be simpler but it would still leave many problematic images, I'm sure.
