Not scrobbling from Spotify

For about a half hour ago no scrobbles are registered at Last.fm from Spotify desktop app on Windows 10. Also no indication on my profile that I'm listing to Spotify at this time.

Disconnecting and reconnecting the app in the settings section at LFM gives errors, but does indicate Spotify had been disconnect and reconnected but to no effect.

Scrobbling thru WinAmp on the same PC with the old plug-ins does work fine.

Wel it seems to have solved itself... scrobbles are coming in again

The spotify scrobbler went down in that time period
the service stopped receiving player state messages

The Spotify api stopped sending us player state messages for ~30 minutes.  We emailed them about 50 minutes ago and it appears to be fixed -- we're now trying to follow up with them to find out what actually happened.

The problem has returned, no scrobbles coming in and not showing what I'm currently listening to.

yeah, there's coming in again but some scrobbles seem to gone missing during about 20 minutes or so this morning

I'm now having the same problem. It was working for me about 6 hours ago. This is really frustrating.
