Hello,

I can't find the playlists I had made, what have you done about them?
I don't even see it listed as a temporary disrupted service
https://getsatisfaction.com/lastfm/topics/new-site-launch-temporary-service-disruption-information

Please, don't tell me all my data, collected years after years, has gone into the void within a second?

Thank you

I feel the same way. WTF?! Playlists were an extremely useful feature, then suddenly it's gone?

Hi snyde1.  This link only takes me to the last.fm/home page.  Is it supposed to take me to my playlists?

Yes you have to replace with your username in the link

That link worked for me (after replacing my user name in the URL), so that's awesome that the info is still there. However, it still looks like the "old" site, and all of my assiduously curated pics have been removed. I still wish they'd address what the future holds for playlists.

I did the same thing.  I typed in "http://www.last.fm/USERNAME/library/playlists" and changed the word username with my actual username and all I got was this.

Kudos to playlist feature.

We could even hit the play button in one of the tracks in the old last.fm site, and all the playlist would be played in spotify. It was such an easy way to push playlists into spotify using the tracks in the library.

.... Also, after all these years and all the content move to spotify and youtube ... is there any more legal reasons for not playing playlists directly in Last.fm?

Couple of months ago I decided to migrate my Spotify and local playlists to Last.fm and finding out that this basic feature is not available and there is no mention if it ever be in the new web site is disappointing.

It is completely disappointing.  I don't understand why they don't and won't give us any information about this?

To all, use this link:
http://www.last.fm/user/<%YourUsernameHere%>/library/playlists

Now why they don't even say a word about this feature, and that it can still be accessed... it is a true mystery.
Each time last.fm tried to update their website it failed dramatically

Ok, we can find the playlists on the old site, well. Not very comfortable. But I can't understand why you at last fm published a new site wich isn't ready! What is this good for? For myself I can say, I would never sell a bread which isn't baked.

And by the way: Where are my tags?

Okay, but the exporter doesn't work.

I've now lost all faith in Last.fm to keep my data safe - how do I export it? Unreal.

As they were not able to fix export function in 3 months, I created a bookmarklet to export playlist to csv file.

@SilverlagE according description, you have to open this bookmark directly from your playlist page, so js should fo the trick and you don't have to click anything. But I'm also still don't know how it works. Have no luck to download playlists.

@korzo, can you give me link to your application?

@sky4winder I didn't put it on server because it run for long time (30-40s /playlist with a lot of   503 errors) and the code is not publishable :)
Reply with your last.fm username and I wll download your playlists for you.

I'm bumping this old thread up, because it has the main links to a workaround for this problem.

The first link to your old playlists that snyde1 posted is correct, but may take too long to load from the backup server, so it would only show your homepage after a few seconds. To prevent this, simply fill in your username in the URL which uses a "_" for it, then an overview of your playlists should load.

To export them to a CSV file, use the JavaScript bookmarklet that korzo posted. You have to drag or add the related link to your browser bookmarks in order to use it on each of your individual playlist pages, i.e. open a playlist, then click on your new bookmark and on the blue Download button that is shown afterwards. Do not disable or block JavaScript in your browser, otherwise this will not work.

To convert this CSV file to a Spotify playlist, first open it in your spreadsheet app (Excel, LibreOffice Calc etc.) and clean it from unnecessary content, i.e. the columns with the old Last.fm URLs, so only artist and track names will remain in the file. It might be necessary to also delete the quote signs in each cell before using the CSV file with an online playlist converter like Soundiiz.com, but you can check yourself if the conversion works without doing this. When opening the downloaded file and importing it in your spreadsheet app, you have to choose the semicolon as separator, by the way, not comma or tab, otherwise the columns will not be separated correctly.

Last but not least this method will also work with your old backup TSV files that you might have exported from your playlists on the old site. The correct separator would be tabs then.
