Dear last.fm,

Understand that you guys/girls are seeking for funds by promoting the premium subscription, but for years now we are waiting for the most basic features concerning the correctness of all the catalogue data. I know my patience is gone and that I am getting indifferent about this site, which is not necessary I think. So the most simple question: is the catalogue something your organisation cares about to improve? and if so, is it possible to show a roadmap with which items will be fixed when etcetera... Maybe then more people are willing to support by taking the premium membership.

Thanks for responding,
Onno

Yes it is.

No it isn't.

Fixing the catalogue is something we want to do, but as I've explained in other threads, it's dependant on the completion of an ongoing project, the schedule of which keeps slipping - pushing everything back.  Until that work is finished, the remaining catalogue work is a moving target.  E.g. it was initially penned in for Q2 this year.

Hi Jon,

Unfortunately not much changed in the last year, except for the ability to edit scrobbles. This made my life a bit easier, but it is not doable to manually adjust a song everytime it scrobbles.

The edit function is the main reason I had PRO for a few months, but I just think € 3 p/month is too much for the edit function, when we as users still don't know when and if certain functions will come.

I therefore, again, plead for some kind of roadmap and/or clarity.

Thanks,
Onno

Thanks for your feedback on editing scrobbles Onno.  I'm afraid it's not our policy to share long-term plans / roadmaps with the public, as these are internal guidelines for us, not a public commitment to delivering a piece of work or functionality to users.

We're well aware of the problems and limitations with the Last.fm catalogue, and are hoping to address these when we can, however please understand that we have an extremely small development team and always have additional priorities and business objectives that need to be met as well.  It's possible we'll be able to tackle some of the problems with the catalogue this year, but I can't guarantee that or give you even an approximate timeline on when to expect this.  Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this.
