Private events

It would be great to have a "private events" feature. For whatever reason, I'm very OCD about my library etc, and when I can't have my events set out the way I want (because other people have access to change them), it's highly irritating. For example, may it just be a festival that I've attended... I only want to add the bands that I have seen to the lineup, instead of every band at the festival.

I'm not asking for all events to be set to private, just an option to create private ones ourselves, to satisfy our own egos haha.

Thank you. :)

I think this contradicts all last.fm principles, as all the collected data is public.

I hope you can help for your OCD.

It's an interesting suggestion, but I really can't see us doing this.  Regarding festivals, I did float the idea with the team of rethinking them as a set of smaller events, rather than one huge mega-event with multiple artists.  For example, a festival like Glastonbury would become a container for multiple smaller events, and that way you could mark yourself as attending both the festival, and the specific artists you actually saw.  I think this would work well with city based festivals too.  Unfortunately it didn't pick up any traction with the team, so it's unlikely we'll be changing how they work any time soon.

I understand why implementing this would be problematic but I'd also like to have this option, mostly due to security reasons. It sucks not to be able to mark your attendance to an event before said event takes place because some psycho may see it and and go stalk you there
