Over at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/foxyscrobbler/ you have a link saying "Support E-mail". That sounds like a good idea to use that one.

Looking at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/foxyscrobbler/reviews/ there seem to be other users with the same problem.

I gave it a try already but I have a problem: "You are currently not logged in!" and I logged, but it did nothing.

Get the Grease Monkey extension. Then google Youscrobbler. Install the script and then you should be fine.

I forgot to add that after you install the script restart your browser before scrobbling.

FoxyScrobbler is still not working. Just came to say this, because there is an official, now closed for commenting, thread which mentions that is the add-on to use with Firefox.

Grease Monkey is not a option for me, it's too cluncky and resource hungry for my work laptop, where I have a million apps and tabs always

Scroll down for the suggested solution of Alex Esprit using Last.fm web scrobbler in its experimental Firefox version.

Thanks, I already found it and am using it right now. This is the same one I use with Chrome I think (Last.fm Scrobbler 1.61.0).

Apparently it is broken on the most recent Firefox versions. I have contacted the developer and here's what he answered:

Yeah, I am aware of this. Building add-ons for Firefox has become such a pain. When I started building this add-on, I was very enthusiastic to learn some new technology and also do something I could never do with Firefox, which is scrobble to last.fm from some music sites I frequently visited. Over the years, Firefox has made some drastic changes to how add-ons work, beginning with restartless add-ons, on which I was working on starting a few months ago. This required significant changes to how the add-on was built. While making these changes, Mozilla went ahead and announced WebExtensions, which once again fundamentally changes the way add-ons work. It also seems like they will not support add-ons in their current form, every existing add-on must be re-written from scratch to work in newer versions of Firefox.

While I enjoy working on FoxyScrobbler in my free time, these frequent changes in decision has left me tired and confused. So I've stopped working on it until things settle down.

Well that's bad news, I tried to use YouScrobbler but I have problem with autorizing, it says that I'm still not autorized.

Truth be said it is really unfortunate that FoxyScrobbler stopped working just when Last.fm started recommending it.

That's sad. Nevertheless FoxyScrobbler still runs on my old xp machine.

Youscrobbler should just be a script. After it installs to greasemonkey it should work. I don't remember having to authorize anything. You should get a little box on top of your YouTube page that says scrobble. When you are on a video it will light up. Sometimes you have to click it and fill out the correct track name. People using stupid characters and extra info in the headers mess with the scrobbling action.

By the way, Foxyscrobbler stopped working for a few days but is working again on my machine. I use the beta version of Firefox and Windows 10.

Oh, you might check in your addons - user scripts, to make sure your script is enabled.

I'd recommend you to use Chrome Last.fm scrobbler https://github.com/david-sabata/web-scrobbler/. This extension also has experimental support for Firefox. Althought it's not available in AMO yet, you can install it from GitHub releases: https://github.com/david-sabata/web-scrobbler/releases/tag/v1.61.0
