Reappearance of old scrobbles

Since the rollout of the updated scrobbles database, I've suddenly reaquired a number of previously deleted scrobbles. These all appear to be scrobbles (as far as I can fathom) I have deleted at some point earlier this year in an attempt to clean up my library - I then resubmitted them under the correct tag info.

While this apparent bug hasn't undone my resubmissions, it has undone the deleting, so I have an excess of scrobbles. I would like to know whether this will resolve itself (via a future update) and I should just carry on and ignore them for the moment, or is it safe to delete them (assuming I can)?

Which scrobbles are you referring to Elliot?

Excluding bootsraps (which I don't think could be deleted before because of they have no timestamps), we're seeing a difference of about 39 scrobbles fewer on the new database, mainly from around 2015.

e.g. https://www.last.fm/user/elliot_jr/library?from=2015-06-06&rangetype=1day

Is there a specific example we can look at?

Hi Jon,

Yep, quite a few. I've included screenshots as that makes it easier to explain what's wrong. I need to point out that, due to how the database handles "no scrobble date" plays, removing my imported scrobbles of music videos (as you will see below) where I had been using the album name format of "<track name> [video]", this also removed imported correct scrobbles from the respective albums, so these needed reimporting. I'm just mentioning this as the scrobble numbers for these assorted albums won't necessarily add to the scrobble differentiation.

My Lily Allen scrobbles.
1. These albums were deleted and the play counts resubmitted under Alright, Still (Deluxe Edition)
2. These scrobbles were deleted and resubmitted without album info as they are music videos.
3. This album was resubmitted under the cleaned up tag "Smile" rather than "Smile - Single"

There are other artists if you need me to give further examples with screenshots (e.g. Sara Bareilles, Betty Boo, Aly & AJ, Ellie Goulding, Katy Perry, etc etc). I don't know how many others exactly but there are quite a few, as you can tell.

As I say, it seems to be a result of me previously deleting them to resubmit the scrobbles under the right or a single album name. I'm guessing I must have done this when some sync happened behind the scenes and these have been restored for some reason.

I'm happy to delete these reappearances myself (if the site will allow me) as I think that's all that should need to be done, but I just want to know that it won't have an unexpected effect on other legitimate scrobbles.

By the way, you could do this before if you deleted the parent album for the track.
