I just started using my Lastfm account, and have scrobbled a few songs (~30 - this is the total amount in my library so far) to get recommendations. The songs I listened to are mainly rock, however I get really weird recommendations, which are very far off from what had been scrobbled.

e.g.: Soundtracks from Superman Returns, the Last of Us, American Beauty, etc. Some artists are claimed to be in my library, but this is not true.

The main reason why I made an account was to get recommendations for songs/bands based on what I listen to. Is there a problem on my end or is the recommendation feed broken?

Is there something I can do to improve the quality of the least to be in the broad genre of songs I listen to?

The whole site is broken, unfortunately. Most of my recommendations are songs/albums that I've already listened to.

I have almost 200,000 scrobbles and my recommendations make zero sense as well. Not that anyone cares, but yeah, just wanted to say that.

ohgod, what's your username?  As Sachin said, for the better part of 3 weeks, we've been recovering from a serious failure with the recommendations service, which will hopefully be resolved for good in the next few days.  Once that's resolved (hopefully by the end of today), if you continue to have issues with recommendations, the best thing to do would be to start  a new thread with some examples of recs that "make zero sense" so we can investigate for you.
