Shouts on Articles

Hello,

So today I read one of the articles that features at the bottom of the site for the first time, this one.

Thought it could be a cool feature for us to leave shouts on, could generate more traffic + interaction between users.

Sorry if there is a reason as to why it's not already a thing, couldn't find another topic on this in the forum, not sure if they are even called articles!

Much love

These are part of the Features which you can find under its tab at the top of each Last.fm page.

Thanks Hans, wasn’t sure what to call them. What do you think about them having a shoutbox?

The staff members who write these articles and  blogs are on a different team, as far as I know. Shoutboxes would need some form of moderation, so I don't know if and how they would handle that. Furthermore I don't know how many developer resources you would need for this, so if it is possible to realise this feature at all or when.

It's a good suggestion (I do the data preparation for the hype chart articles so I want to people to discuss it), but it's not something I think we're able to prioritise right now as we already have quite a lot of work queued up for this year.  For the time being, I think the best place to discuss these articles is on the last.fm reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/lastfm/

In the footer of each Features article the other Last.fm accounts on Twitter, Facebook etc. are already mentioned, maybe Reddit should be there, too. And either any user who wants to start a thread may do it, or the team can start one in advance.

Yeah that's not a bad idea, I'll run it past our editorial team.
