Scrobbling isn't officially supported by SoundCloud at the moment, however there are several excellent third party scrobblers you can try as well as our own Android app.

Desktop / Web

You can scrobble tracks played on the SoundCloud website using one of the following browser extensions.

Since tracks on SoundCloud aren't always tagged 'Artist - Track name', we recommend using a plugin that lets you edit the scrobble before submitting it. Alternatively, you can scrobble individual tracks manually using The Universal Scrobbler.

Android

Experimental SoundCloud scrobbling is supported via the official Last.fm Android app, which you can download from the Google Play Store.  After signing in to your account, go to the app Settings and make sure that 'Other music apps' is enabled.  Whenever you listen to music on SoundCloud, you should see 'Now scrobbling' in the notification tray of your device.

Notes:

  • At present the app treats the SoundCloud username as the artist name when scrobbling -- it's not currently possible to edit tags before submitting them.
  • Some mobile devices (e.g Samsung Galaxy) feature an 'App Optimisation' or 'App power saving' option listed under your device's System / Battery settings.  This is known to interfere with background scrobbling and therefore we recommend disabling it for the Last.fm app.

iOS:

SoundCloud scrobbling is currently unsupported on iOS devices.  However we hope to add support for it in the future and are currently exploring various options to make this possible.  Please follow this article for updates on this.
