I can't log in to last.fm on spotify. The only way i found to scroble is using an extention for google chrome. But i didn't need that before. What's going on? How this happen? Are these guys stoned to launch a site that's not finished yet?

I am also experiencing the same issue. The process is as follows, and is repeatable

From the settings page in spotify, press connect for Last,fm
Get a 404 from Last.fm
Refresh, get the right page, click allow connection
Get the original spotify settings page, but the connection has not been made.

This might be somewhat serious, given that Spotify is the supported streaming site supported.

Chrome browser.

I mainly use my chromebook, so I use a web version of spotify, but I'm having issues as well. Both from spotify's last.fm integration and even 3rd party chrome browser scrobblers that have worked with spotify in the past. I hope this is worked out quickly!

I have this same issue, scrobbling stopped working from Spotify right before the launch, even if I listen from Last.fm It's also weird that now I have to have the Spotify webpage already open in order to play tracks with Last.fm, if not, the only option is to sign up for a new account. Anyways, since Spotify is the new centerpiece of Last.fm, it would be nice if integration worked at least as well as it did on the old site.

Recently, it appears that the Web Player is broken with Last.fm integration. My accounts were linked initially, but I first noticed that my plays weren't scrobbling from the Web Player on Firefox, so I tried disconnecting the accounts and I was going to reconnect them. However, whenever I tried reconnecting the accounts, it would bring me to the Last.fm page to connect the accounts, and I would be immediately redirected back to Spotify after confirming—and there would be no change to the Last.fm status for my account, and it would prompt me to just connect again.

For testing purposes, I disabled my privacy add-on (Ghostery), but it still didn't work. I then tried the exact same operation on stock installations of Google Chrome, Chromium, and the Epiphany web browser, but I ran into the exact same issue on all of the browsers, which is why I am almost certain the issue is with the Last.fm API. All versions of my browsers are the latest as of 2015 Aug 19.

Hopefully this is fixed soon as I only want to listen to music on Spotify if it's being scrobbled. :) Hope to see support added back very soon!

Looks like it's gone from a 404 error, to looking like it's going to work, but not actually working. They seem to think third party app authentication is fixed, but it's not. This is what a "beta" testing period, finding the bugs in already implemented features.
