Spotify private session on last.fm

Hi to all, I think this one deserves separate thread. Few days ago I found out my sleeping music has been scrobbled despite the fact I had chosen Spotify private session. For me those were 'fake' scrobbles, which I don't want to count in, as I am not listening consciously, except the first two-three songs. Recently I have been switching music on each night for the whole night, so find it really annoying to remember to disconnect Spotify scrobble application each night. And of course -- I am taking a nap with the music sometimes, I think lot of us do, but it's only, like, half an hour, not the whole night ;) Do you think this issue is possible to be solved in the near future?

Confused about what the issue is. So you don't want certain artists scrobbled when you're sleeping and you find it too much work to disconnet the scrobbler before you go to bed and reconnect when you wake up?

I know I'm not hip when it comes to Spotify, but I thought disconnecting then reconnecting would be the most simplest solution?

Edit: I see you posted your issue within this topic: https://getsatisfaction.com/lastfm/topics/how-do-i-block-a-artist-from-scrobbling - I'm assuming you'll probably have more luck there since it's a similar (and more active topic). Happy scrobbling! :)

I think he's asking for Spotify private sessions to not scrobble, so he can "listen" to music at bedtime/while sleeping but for it to not count....

Exactly, what Elliot Robinson said. Before those new scrobbling applications "private session" mode would have had switched off scrobbling totally. It was really easy. Now, after marking private session option, I have to go into my lastfm page and disconnect scrobbler additionally. Not cool.

We don't currently support Private Sessions so all listens will appear on your Last.fm profile. If you're using Private Sessions to hide your listening history, then please don't enable the new scrobbler yet (or temporarily disable in your account settings, then re-enable it).  Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this.

Thank you very much Jon, I've got just one more thing to add -- if I am not enabling new scrobbler, the old one does not work at all. It's not too comfortable to disable/re-enable all the time.
Do you consider supporting Private Session in the near future?
