The community moderator provided the following reason for archiving: Closing as we have multiple threads on this issue. Let's keep the discussion here: https://getsatisfaction.com/lastfm/topics/song-names-case-is-wrong

So, all this time the new site has been around I never complained about a thing. I read the comments and thought to myself how things were going to be better when this transition time passes. But then this happened (repeatedly):

Just look at those tags. I'm pretty sure it brings out the OCD spirit on everybody that have the minimum care with their tags. So please, hurry to enable the editing functionality again, because if this continue to happen, I don't really know what's the point of carrying on - we can't even edit the freaking track names. Sorry about the burst, and I hope you guys listen to this.

Hi João,

Unfortunately we are unable at the moment to change the capitalisation of artist, track and album names. We hope to be able to do so as soon as possible.

Can you change redirected artists? I've been in touch with singer Robin S. and she confirmed through mail and on Twitter that the correct spelling of her name is Robin S. with a dot. Therefor, this tag is incorrect: http://www.last.fm/music/Robin+S

The tracks of Delirium are in the wrong title. That's worse than hell.

I REALLY strongly want this feature back, I can't stand when some albums have improper spelling and you can't do anything about it.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Capitalising track names is STILL a problem.

We've been with this problem on some of the biggest album releases since last November. Ellie Goulding, Selena Gomez, Charlie Puth, Fifth Harmony, Janet Jackson, Justin Bieber and now The Weeknd. On and on and on and on and on we've complained and still nothing. It stopped being simply annoying and started being unacceptable.

And recently:

Tinashe

Bruno Mars

Album names are also affected, for example:

24K MAGIC (caps)

AIM (tiny)

And "JOANNE (Deluxe)"

And even future releases are being affected, such as Coldplay's upcoming EP:

And a supposed new album by Lana Del Rey:

And a possible name for a new album by Christina Aguilera:
